Co-signs with #21 minus the hater part because that’s #11′s opinion and she’s entitled to it. But Lakisha didn’t even come close to Jennifer Hudson or Holliday. I’ve seen way too many people do that some more justice on amateur night on Showtime at the Apollo to be impressed by that sub-par performance last night. Don’t get me wrong, she has a good voice but she has a long way to go before Jennifer Hudson needs to “watch out.” Personally, I think Melinda the former backup singer was the best of the night and could sing that song way better than Lakisha did.
I am so glad that Jen is gettin her damn props. But on the other hand i hope its not too much to fast. Hollywood is so shady they love u one moment and hate u the next! Everyone looks great though except ms taraji. Glad to see black people supporting others!!

Well we really can’t compare Jhud singing the song with anyone else that sings it live since she refuses to do it. She’s not even gonna do it at the oscars according to what I’ve read. Jhud just hasn’t proven her self as a singer to me yet. Having a good “RECORDED” performance of a legendary song does not make you a great vocalist. From the performances I’ve seen her do it’s hit and miss with her some times she’s good sometimes she’s bad. That doesn’t equal greatness to me sorry.And her voice is loud but there really isn’t anything that special about it. The only reason she’s getting so much attention IMO is because one she’s “supposedly” Beyonce’s rival(and we know alot of people are tired of her so anyone that could “potentially” take her spot is welcomed)and she sounds kinda old school but those two things again like her inconsistency does not make her great but I guess we will all see in time when she releases her album and starts doing more live performances.
Don’t get me wrong I’m happy for the sista she seems like a really sweet person and I wish her much success.
I just don’t think she’s earned the over top praises she’s been getting just yet. Maybe soon but not yet.
