No, correction, Jayz is the best “beat maker” alive, not best rapper sweetie. There’s a difference. People are often confused, just cause you like his song cause it’s a hot track dont mean he was spittin fiyah on the track, but just that the track itself is hot cause of the beat and/or hook. he come up with some hot beats, but dat about it…Sorry, i’m not taken in so easily.

Good example is this coke can. I like the new design. He’s excellent in marketing now that he’s been dating beyonce and talking with her father. And everybody knows the Knowles family are experts at marketing and making things appear more than what it actually is. Its evident he’s been taking lessons cause it seems jayz is growing and taking more risks.

I think he has found his niche, business. But rappin, it’s back to the drawing board for another hot beat and him rappin on the track telling us how bad he is. Any time you have to tell people something, it’s false, cause damn, let people decide for themselves. But when you do it, its subtle advertising and brainwashing, put with a hot beat, and that makes a hot commodity= jayz and his marketing abilities.

Everybody is so money hunger now: selling clothes, making movies, doing albums, selling perfum, handbags, shoes, selling games, doing television, designing furniture, making soda cans, selling food, writing books, etc.

So many celebs now are trying to DO EVERYTHING and you know what you are left with a bunch of people that are good but not Extrodinary

I am not criticizing Jay-Z in particular but modern day celebs in general.

Areha Franklin wasn’t hawking everything back in day, she was a singer.

Sydney Portier wasn’t putting out albums, he stuck to acting.

And now both of them are LEGENDS that will be remembered forever for their contribution to their craft and their body of work.

There is a lot that can be said, in my opinion, for an artist that puts greed aside and chooses to become great at 1 or 2 things rather than mediocore at 15 or 20.

sighz, here we go with another person comparing the past to the future and trying to be a backseat driver to the celebs. is it possible that now people are just more open to trying new things. i like to sing, act, design clothes, produce, and i’d like to have my own fragrance one day. so trying all of my interests makes me money hungry?? sure aretha franklin was mainly a singer, but maybe that was really her only serious interest.
