Andre Leon Talley has dressed Jennifer during this entire awards season and you all have to admit that up until the Oscars, she’s been looking quite fierce. For him to take on Jennifer was a big deal and I’m sure she was grateful, but her outfit was a bit of a miss at the Academy Awards. I was disappointed because she has been looking soooo nice lately and well put together and I thought that her dress wasn’t grand enough. Maybe he owed the designer a favor or something. Her hair and makeup looked beautiful and she redeemed herself in the red performance dress and the gold party dress. But watch, next year, she is going to KILL IT on the red carpet.

As for Eddie, I was kinda hurt that he didn’t win, I really was. I would have been upset if I was Tracey though because you know she couldn’t go to the parties without him and you know she wanted to.

I think calling it worse dressed is ridiculous. It’s just that hideous David Bowie jacket that bothers me and when she WON HER OSCAR, I was cool with it. Seriously, she could’ve rolled up in her bath towel. You can hate and talk bad all you want about her but the girl has an Oscar and quite sure she’ll have (some) Grammys, too. Y’all might as well get ready for her because she’s not going anywhere.

Jennifer must hadn’t notice the stuff Andre wear at times. Sometimes he looks odd in his LV attire..but then again she turned out beautiful by the end of the night. But I must admit. Had it not been for Andre she may have not gotten this much exposure or all those beautiful gowns at the other award shows.

People may not think it but he has a lot of clout in the fashion world. He’s known world wide and I know he had to do a beat down stare with Anna Wintour just to get JHud on the cover. You know she is not about the full figured woman..and the fact not as many black women have graced the cover, I guess she has no love for women of color to grace it that often either.

As of Eddie Murphy, I don’t blame him for leaving..you know how these reporters like to rub it in or in the ground asking him stupid questions like:

I don’t blame Eddie for leaving early. The Oscars were so damn long. It was like a 4 HOUR Award show. If it aint work that’s too long to be in one place. They tried to step up the Oscars this year but it was long & boring. Do we really care about Best Animated Foregin Short…. UM HELL NO!!!!!

I’m not even mad that Eddie Murphy lost. I never though that he would win. But for him to lose to Alan Arkin, thats a shocker. At least Will Smith lost to Forest Whittaker in “Last King of Scotland”. He killed that role and everyone, even Will Smith knew that he deserved it. Maybe if the movie came out next year Will would have had a shot at winning.

As far as Eddie Murphy leaving I would have left too he had no other reason to be there. Although I doubt he would have left if he won. That show bored me to tears but at least I could change the channel. I know my ass woulda fell asleep no matter how many categories I was nominated for. Someone would have to tap me on my shoulder to wake me up if I won anything.

As for Ms. Jennifer Hudson, she wore the gown itself quite nicely but the jacket killed it. Once she took it off she looked stunning and her hair and makeup were on point too.

I saw a pic of that Oscar De La Renta outfit, including the jacket, on a model, and it looked MUCH BETTER. The dress looked lovely on Jen, but the jacket was about 3 sizes too small, compared to the way it hung on the model. It could have had a whole different look had the jacket fit.

Every look ain’t for everybody.

It is just telling, though, how the media is backlashing, and unfortunately Jennifer is being sucked into it.

Why she is giving interviews with less than gracious statements about the outfit is beyond me. Just brush it off and laugh about it in the press. Or ignore it.

I saw Dreamgirls and Little Miss Sunshine…and even though I love to see my people win, Eddie shouldn’t have, point blank. That’s just the way it is.

And even though the gown with pockets and the Jetsons bolero were pretty much hideous, she still worked the hell out of it!

And nobody should receive an Oscar based on how long they’ve been in the game, but because of TALENT! It is not a popularity contest and does not hand out certificates of participation! If Eddie Murphy did more serious roles, then he would make up for all the simple stuff he’s put out there, and receive some serious acknowledgment

I was mad as hell that Eddie did not win. It just doesn’t make since. Usually If a person wins a Golden Globe, and a SAG award, they usually take home the OScar. I couldn’t believe it.

I think J-Hud bad choice in outfits is going to knock down her win. You’re correct about the media, but a young celebrity has to learn very quickly that she can’t please everybody! If fact, some people will be down right pissed if you don’t dance to their music…like you owe them something!

I would hate to think that Leon played the race card on Jennifer and insisted on dressing her! Old negros like Leon and Bill Cosby be doing that kinda $#!T. They have a dream like Martin did, but they are so out of step!

I am happy for JHudson & I think she has much talent, but her role nor Beyonce’s role deserved an Oscar. Oscars are giving to actors/actress who had a memorable role in a memorable movie. Dreamgirls was a good movie, but it doesn’t it deserves no Oscar. Roles such as Tina played by Angela Basset in what’s love got to do with it desevred an Oscar. Whoopi deserved an Oscar in color purple. Those are memorable movies & memorable roles. You don’t see anyone reciting a line from Dreamgirls do you? no because it is hot right now but it will be a thing of the past.

Does anyone remember how Jennifer used to dress at the start of idol? She did not have the best taste at all. Maybe she actually liked it and because everyone doesn’t she has changed her story.

I see where you’re coming from, but when you get a supporting role in a movie featuring Beyonce’ Knowles, good things are sure to follow! You take Beyonce’ out of Dreamgirls and it would have been exactly like you said, “Dreamgirls was a good movie, but it doesn’t it deserves no Oscar.” Having Beyonce’ play the lead role pushed this Motown story line onto the top level! Beyonce’ has propelled the careers of Kelly, Michelle, Rihanna and countless others who immulate her style! Jennifer deserves the accolades for at least proving that she could hang with Beyonce’. That was an achievement in itself! It took everything she had as you saw on the awards show! Jennifer was screaming to the top of her lungs while Beyonce’s was smiling, popping her collar and doing her nails!

The show was boring as hell I don’t blame Eddie. Tracy took him home to show her own appreciation for his hard work(lol) Jennifer honey you got an “Oscar” I would not give a damn if I recieved it in overalls and a straw hat.
