LOOKS LIKE NICK CANNON IS A MARRIED MAN. US Weekly Magazine is reporting that he married Victoria’s Secret Model, Selita Ebanks in Vegas last weekend. Read the scoop:
…..Nick Cannon, 26, married Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks, 24, in Las Vegas last weekend. Sources say the altar-rushers were staying at the Palms Casino Resort Hotel and enjoying NBA All-Star Weekend when they decided to wed on a whim after just three weeks of dating.
The couple began dating after meeting at Super Bowl weekend in Miami. Says the source, “The weird thing is when he and Kim [Kardashian] dated, he said he didn’t believe in monogamy!” The singer and actor split from Kardashian in January.
Cannon and Ebanks are planning to hold a wedding reception party in L.A. this weekend, pals say.

I have felt the same thing. I don’t understand the hate for Nick Cannon in the black community. I will admit I am in my early 30′s and am not as up on certain celebs but I have not been able to understand why so many black people attack him, with most of it coming from black girls. Seriously, will someone here explain it to me. What makes him so corny (and lord knows we could use more than the thug example for young black men coming up), why is he so disliked, particularly in the black community?
Oh, and with regard to this marriage, I think it is all publicity. Nothing more, nothing less. (but I have to admit, I’m glad he married a black woman, considering how popular non-black women are with famous black men nowadays)
I also forgot to mention Nick Cannon is one of the most handsome black men in Hollywood. I mean he is not Reggie Bush, but he is handsome nontheless.

Nick was amoung Black Enterprise’s Top 40 Power Player under the age of 40. Also on this list was Diddy, Jay-Z, Halle, Harold Ford Jr & Tyler Perry. But if you are the type that only reads magazines with a lot of pics…in those picture books Nick is always standing next to other A-list celebs, he is always on the red carpet and is always invited to the social events of “superstars.” Corn balls, lames and corny dudes do not get into the places that this brother goes. Why do you think that thes other A-listers include him so? As fot his movies…even if they don’t do that well, he is usually getting paid two or three time from each movie as a writer, producer and actor. The brother is paid, he’s smart, he’s an entrepreneur, and he is well on his was to becomming an entertainment mogul, so mediocre is just an inaccurate discription of him. But I guess he would have to wear his pants down to his knees, get a grill, a baby mama and a court case for you to give credit where credit is due.

Nick Cannon and Selita Ebanks are engaged to be married, after the Drumline actor proposed to the Victoria’s Secret model Monday with the help of a jumbotron in Times Square, his rep tells PEOPLE.
The actor got on one knee with a 12-carat diamond ring immediately after they left the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala, when they were chauffeured in a Rolls Royce to Times Square, according to the rep. Projected on a giant MTV jumbotron were the words, “Selita will you marry me?”
“They got engaged last night,” Ebanks’s agent, Chris Gay of Women Model Management told PEOPLE Tuesday. “He took her to Times Square last night and did it in the center of Times Square. Then they had a party after the Met Gala to celebrate. The two of them flew to L.A. late last night because both are working.”
The couple celebrated at the New York nightclub Butter, with Cannon surprising Ebanks by flying in his mother, both her parents and best friends into town. As the couple made their way through the crowd holding hands, Ebanks was smiling from ear to ear. Upon coming up to one man, she exclaimed, “Nick! Have you met my brother?”
The couple left the party at 3 a.m. and caught a private plane back to L.A., where Cannon is working on his new film, American Son, the rep said.
In February, Cannon, 26, gushed to PEOPLE about his romance with Ebanks, 24, calling her “amazing.” “She changed me – I’m no longer a player. She changed everything.”
