Last night the 79th Annual Academy Awards went down in Los Angeles and madd stars came out to support the nominees. Check out more flicks after the jump.

Beyonce’s dress – Hated it! Her face is flawless however.
Jennifer – That shrug was a no no, but the dress was OK. Happy as hell that she won even though I didn’t like Dreamgirls AT ALL.
The Smiths – Beautiful black family. Nuff said.
Forrest – Happy for him.
Qunicy – what the hell?
Anika Noni Rose – I liked the dress the first time I saw it…on Beyonce two weeks ago.
The Dreamgirls – Rocked. That performance made up for the rest of the boringazzness that is known as the Oscars.
It’s offical J. Hud has taken over…this is her year!!! Anika and Jada look great. Even though they look great together, something about Tracy Edmonds and Eddie as an item just dont sit right with me, i’m sorry they just both seem so grimy uuuuuggghhhh.
Oh yeah, Queen La needs to holler at Dr. Atkins and her ex girlfriend aka the trainer. She wide as all outside.

I want somebody to tell me why Leon Talley dressed her with that Star Trek jacket. The dress was nice all by itself. The dress she performed in was cute, as well as, the one she had on doing her interviews after she won.
I was stunned that Eddie didn’t win. But he and Tracey were cute.
Will, Jada and Jaden were just adorable. I think Will and Jada always look fab!
B was pretty too. I was looking for Jigga but he wasn’t there. Papa Knowles came with her.
Forest and his wife were cute. I loved his acceptance speech.
Anika was cute too. She has a beautiful voice.

The show was boring to me but I loved the Dreamgirls performance.I just hate that they announced it and then we had to wait four commercial breaks before we got to see it.

Oh and Ellen did really well also,she kept me laughing.The show ran so long that she became the bright spot in the show.
Am I the only one who is pissed that Will didnt win for The Pursuit of Happiness. I havent even seen the forest Whitaker movie, but it better be good cause Pursuit had a brother sniffiling.

#14…To answer your question about why Will Smith didn’t win…it’s bascially about watching a movie that leaves you a little teary eyed at the end…and watching a movie that leaves you speechless…Forest definitely deserved to win…and if anyone hasn’t seen the movie The Departed, that won for best picture, you are really missing out…another fantastic film

glad jennifer and forrest won. but jennifer looked like a FAT HOG in the brown dress. it was a complete HORRA. Beyonce looked great. Beyonce went OFF on Ms Jennifer Hudson!!!!!! She stormed her fierce on her own song!!! LOL LOL
I just watched the performance again and BEYONCE clearly OUTSUNG Jennifer’s church singing. LOL There was NO competition!!! Even with the power of Jennifer’s voice, it didn’t make it stronger than Beyonce due to the unclarity and poor diction. Beyonce’s voice rang out OVER Jennifer’s church runs. LOL
Jennifer was NOT holding back! She actually tried her HARDEST to oversing and it just didn’t work out.
Beyonce made it known that she is the better singer. Not only did she slay Jennifer, she also slayed Anika Noni Rose and the other guy up there. They were all ad libbing and Beyonce’s ad libs were more distinct and powerful than ALL of them!!
What happened was Jennifer was doing all of those church muffled screams and gospel runs while Beyonce was projecting the song to make it powerful and big. It takes more than gospel runs to turn a song. You have to know how to project your voice and excel the song. You cant just start singing crazy right from the jump. You have to carry the song to another level and emote.
I am truly impressed by Beyonce. She broke down Ms Hudson’s powerful voice with technique!
Everyone looked amazin I was so happy for Jennifer altough I didn’t like the jacket thing but that’s ok. Will Smith’s son was so cute! Hopefully we will see him in more movies to come. Did anyone noticed Beyonce eyes were watery during Jennifer’s acceptance speech? I like them both but bey was trying her hardest to out sing J. Hud and just couldn’t do it Jennifer nailed Beyonce’s song!
As long as Ellen was talking, I wasn’t too bored, but the rest was dry as hell! I wish I’d had that “Wrap It Up” box from Dave Chappelle to play all them mofos off! LOL Congrats to JHud and Forrest! Eddie was robbed and I’m still salty…I’m exaggerating, I just like to see black people succeed!

jhud ain’t nail shit…. her singing next to beyonce,especially on “listen” highlighted her vocal weakness,jhud lack vocal control and defeinately couldn’t sing “listen” in a higher register like beyonce, thats why she stumbled on listen(go back watch the video).beyonce vocals shit all over her 1 dimensional voice.plus being loud and screaming at the top of your lungs DOES NOT equate to vocal prowess and range.

NEITHER OF THEM SOUNDED GOOD IN THAT PERFORMANCE. I know some of y’all are backing J-Hud and her “church voice” (which I agree she has” and others are claiming Bey has more control. LOOKS LIKE THEY BOTH FORGOT WHAT THEY WERE THERE FOR. I think they both overdid it. BEYONCE IS KNOWN FOR HER OVER-EXAGGERATED NOTES. I think they both were too loud and uncontrolled, there was NO HARMONIZING INVOLVED at all! And they could have performed those songs separately….
All I know is that J-Hud was wearing some tin foil around her shoulders. She must have been trying to bring in satellite signals. Andre Leon Talley did her wrong, and somebody must have broke all the mirrors in her hotel suite.

The BEST WIN OF THE NIGHT? FORREST!!!!! That man is a TRUE actor with TRUE skill and he so deserved this win. His speech was genuine and moving. CONGRATS!

I think Andre from Vogue spent too much time dolling her up and not enough time was spent on PR. I guess she was his My Fair Lady project. But like Eliza Dolittle, she could have used some etiquette training.

Everyone looks nice minus Jennifer’s vest. I’m glad both J-hud and Forest won. I just wish J-hud would only wear dresses that cover up her breasts or at least 3/4 of them, she looks great but there is no way in hell she is a size 12 (not that it’s a bad thing, I just think people should be honest if they are going to make statements). I think the academy was just being nice. Jennifer Hudson is not that great an actor. All she did was roll her neck and talk loud. Her emotional scenes were insincere and she was reading her lines like a high school student.
What she was awarded for was her dynamic singing…in which case she deserver a Grammy no an Oscar. I wasn’t feeling her. And still am not. I don’t see her having any longetivity. She reminds me of one of those big for the moment people who will fade out quickly. Outside of singing she can’t act, and her voice is sort of one-dimensional. We’ll see.

I thought of the 3 Dgirls Anika was best dressed. I love the way she carries herself and she looked spectacular in that dress. I wouldn’t wear silver, but it looked great on her without looking over done. She always looks confident and at ease.
I didn’t like Beyonce’s mint dress at all. I thought her mom made it at first and so did my husband who knows nothing about fashion. I thought it looked too mermaidish. I even thought her hair looked very wiggish-ish and bland. I was so disappointed since I was glued to the tv awaiting her arrival on the red carpet. She looked as if she didn’t want to be there, like she was kinda sad.
I did like the dress under Jennifer Hudson’s jacket but the damn jacket was so distracting it took away from the dress completely.
I loved Forrest’s wife’s dress in terms of color but I thought the detail on the back was a bit much.
I thought Jada looked nice, I loved the fit and the style of her dress. She knows what looks good on her, she never makes the worst dressed list that’s for sure.
Tracee looks nice in the above pic but at the Awards I almost thought he took someone else because I guess I had never seen her with her hair up or with soooooo much makeup. I didn’t care for her dress either and she is such a beauty it would have been so easy to dress her. She needed color.
Queen Latifah looked nice but a tad boring. I love her personality. As I said before about JHud not having grace, Queen is a great example of how you can still be yourself while being graceful at the same time.
Penelope Cruz, Gweneth Paltrow, and Reese Witherspoon were the best dressed.
I really wanted Djimon to win or Eddie, I felt kinda bad for them. Especially Djimon, maybe 3 times will be a charm
I thought Little Miss Sunsine and Jaden’s award presentation was very cute. I love that that little girl acts like a little girl unlike Dakota Fanning who acts a little too adult for my taste.
