I actually liked it. Fergie is cool. She’s a nice looking girl and Ludacris looked great also. I find it quite sad that a majority of the ppl who comment on here never have anything positive to say about anyone. I’m tired of people constantly making it a race issue everytime black people don’t love a white artist. Black people love them some Jon B, they love them some Teena Marie. Stop blaming Fergie’s lack of originality on black people supposedly hating on her.

Fergie used Gwen Stefani’s blueprint, it’s blatant. Take two black twins instead of two or three harajuku girls, make a remix of Luxious’ video and call it Fergalicious, make a remix of Holla Back Girl and call it London Bridge, and there you have Fergie. The ONLY reason BEP blew up was because they had the European element to crossover and most importantly catchy pop hooks. Had they have her before Elephunk with the same music, the group wouldn’t have blown up, even with her. They only used her for “pretty” face (not her skills) and TO mostly SING HOOKS. That’s what she’s always been, a hook singer. If she is BEP why hasn’t she sold BEP numbers? Why do people keep saying she’s boring live? Have you seen her performances for the VMAs, and all the other stuff she did? Without BEP she’s nothing, unlike Will.I.Am. Everybody can see that she’s biting off of Gwen.

That being said, Kelis is a fashion icon. Kelis is an innovator, Kelis is out of the box and isn’t like anyone else. Kelis does things that people use and try to make their own later. Kelis set trends, breaks barriers, and exposes people to sounds they don’t know they like yet. Kelis is in constant re-invention of herself.
