The “Beautiful Liar” is ..wel.. beautiful. I loved it! I’ve always thought that Beyonce and Shakira favired each other. I’ve seen them in magazines and have confused for each other, more than once. But the song and video are great. Upgrade on the other hand….that’s my sh*t!!!! But, I have to say I was a bit dissapointed in the concept of the video. The song is so hot, there are so many ways they could have went with that video. I would have preferred a story telling video. Once where it starts at a bar…a guy send her a drink..”sending me a drink ‘aint appeasin’ believe me..” etc. In teh vidoe of course she looks great, but they wer lazy with this one. I actually like both of the videos. This is the Bey I grew to like in the beginning. Upgrade U has grown on me and I am loving the song. Probably because the beat is just sick. Here in the south that is what we’re all about…good beats. Don’t like the big dookie braid she rocking in this video though. I think Shakira and Bey did the damn thing in Beautiful Liar. Dancing moves was just off the chain. Shakira knows she know how to work those hips!

#417 BAILEY, I completely agree with you. It’s obvious Beyonce has so much respect and adoration for women doing their things. If only more people could learn to celebrate the successes of others, and openly admit to admiring their style. There’s nothing wrong with being inspired by someone else. Hell, Beyonce has inspired a ton of young female artist, that shall remain nameless. She is pretty much the prototype that record companies use when it comes to imaging and marketing their young female artist. I know people hate to admit it, but Beyonce has made women step their game up. Who made it hot to wear chandelier earrings? Who made it hot to rock crystal-encrusted Zanotti knockoffs? Who made it hot to constantly strut your stuff in a pair of heels, even if you are rocking the most casual outfit? I know some of you won’t be willing to admit it, and will just say, “Oh, she jacked so-and-so’s style,” but like it or not, Beyonce Knowles is a trendsetter. You too have probably been influenced by her. No, she didn’t invent blonde dye, and she wasn’t the first woman of color to rock the blonde locks, but when she blew up, I’ve seen more women of color with light hair than I care to count. All I a saying is give props where they are due, when they are due. SOme of you make it seems like this woman is talentless, but we all know that’s not the truth. One thing that I admire so much about her is that she is so pro-woman. She always celebrates other women, but no matter how much she does, internet folk and the media always wanna make up some feud, or jealous moment that simply doesn’t exist. I wonder sometimes, what some of you look like, and just how successful and happy you truly are in life, because people who’s world is fucked up tend to carry a negativity with them everywhere they go.

I swear, Beyonce stans are the worst. Are you all tired yet cause if you’re not praising her then you’re attacking somebody else. Stans hate on Jennifer Hudson just because she stole Beyonce’s “supposed” thunder in Dreamgirls AND won an Oscar then call out the haters for not praising Beyonce. Plus, Miss Hudson received more praise from Dreamgirls than Beyonce did in five movies combined. It’s all good, there’s always Austin Powers 10. Beyonce can’t have it all.

The videos are nothing new. More grinding women in one and the other is another generic flashy video. Wow. This woman is going to suffer from the J-Lo syndrome if she don’t take a LONG break soon.

hate to make another post - i must not be too stupid - seeing as how i was a NATIONAL MERIT FINALIST and had a free ride to damn near any school I wanted to go to… hmm?? can u say the same? I highly doubt it.

but anyway - I liked the UPGRADE U VID more than the B. L. vid - it was just too mediocre. too much smoke… why did they have to look alike anyway? what purpose did it serve for the song or the video?

sorry to interrupt this beysnatchastyle stan fest- but she is so damn overrated. She needs to take a break from the lacefronts and highheels long enough to let the oxygen get to her head.
