Christina Aguilera recently came out with a new video for the latest single from the album “Back to Basics.” It’s one of the more contemporary songs from her album – I can say that I knew this would be one of the singles because of it’s radio friendly-ness. Christina looks great in the video though, I like these hair colors.

wow, its good to see the positive comments that christina is receiving from CL! I personally like Aguilera myself too. She’s a power house and is the only thing saving these other white chicks from being banned from the music industry for life, although Gwen is my gurl also.
don’t like this song and the retro style has been played out. having said that – i like “on our way” and “understand’ but something about her music just doesn’t resonate w/ me. it just never hooks me. she’s certainly talented though. however i must say, i still don’t understand all the fuss over the grammy. am i the only person who heard the fact that screaming and off key?

she’s an okay singer not too impressed…i think teena marie is far better vocally.
I’m not a fan of this song, but I thought the video was cute. Christina is a powerhouse vocalist, but she tries too hard most times to try to sound soulful, when it shouldn’t be that difficult. But she doesn’t have a naturally soulful voice so that’s probably why her vocal style is so over-the-top most of the time, which would be okay if I felt some soul behind it or even if she was good at adlibbing.Alot of her adlibs, especially during live performances, are so misplaced like she’s not feeling the mood of the song and music, but just adlibbing to show off her voice. But I still enjoy some of her music.
She should record, “It’s a man’s world.” I know after she sang that song at the Grammy’s, James had to be saying, “Hey, hey heeeeeyyyyyyy!!!! She one of the baddest songstresses ever. Even the great Patti LaBelle gave her props.

@67 i love me some Teena Marie I can’t really sings better because their style is different Teena has a funk feel and Christina has a pop/r&B feel but I dig both of them but I dig those Intros from Stripped/Back To Basics.

This is really creative, her whole idea with her cd and she pulled it off. I would like more artist to be more creative and pull out something different than everyone else. Because everyone else is to much stuck on the same thing right now and its getting on my nerves.

i kinda agree with some saying that she should have released with out you etc but then again i kinda disagree candyman was always ment to be a single i knew it was from the first day i got the album and heard it and i love it.. lol. but still i see why she hasnt released them because they are to basic and original that they wont stand out and they wont help record sales as much as this one should and will.
Ive also heard that the 4th single is gonna be makes me wanna pray due to the hint of her playing it at most occasions of promoting (recently) the album.

slow down baby is also kinda a simular song to the one she sang at the VMA awards tilt ya head back. i personally think it would never do well in charting. but its a good song just not amazing like mercy on me candyman welcome makes me wanna pray here to stay oh mother they are the strongest songs to me.
