I dont buy that story. Halle and Alicia have said plenty of time that they classify themselves as Black, even though they have white mothers. I mean if your mixed that is what you are why not say so but my grandmother is biracial and she considers herself black but then back then you didnt have a choice to be considered otherwise. I mean there are multiple biracial people and I feel if they want to label themselves mixed/biracial they can.
Now if you feel like because you are labeled as such that your more accepted wake the fluck up because this is still America and people are racist and they could care less if you are half white or whatever.
Look at Barack Obama he is biracial but the country sees him as a Black man. I was even told a story of my great great grandmother on my maternal side and she was Spanish from spain having black children, she was an outcast and she end up dying homeless because her husbands family didnt want to accept her and her family disowned her for having black children so its very very sad to see that even today in 2007 that some people are still hung up on the race issue.

I also disagree with the film, if it’s true; Halle Berry needs to get over her self-identity issues. Because in AmeriKKA, biracial people are black! There’s no getting around it. How can two Black parents make a biracial child. Her dad is black. Her mom is black. Therefore she is black. Black is defined as 1/8 black blood — which makes her father black. Who’s knows her mom’s lineage, but to be honest it doesn’t matter she’s black. Neither of her parents is completely white so that means she’s not biracial. BTW Alicia Keys could technically be considered bi-racial since she does have a white parent, but she calls her self black.

My natural 3c/4a texture hair is extremely long (waist lenght) which I was growing natural since Apr 1996. When I flat iron it or box braid it, I have a weave or synthetic braiding hair. I get this: Girl I believe in getting a weave but why is it so long? It looks more natural if your weave was shorter. I would never get a weave, black girls just want to be white and i’m thankful what God gave me or this one is my favorite: It’s Unbeweavable (so ignorant) When they find out it’s mine i’m either lying or I am Indian then they want to put their dirty hands in my hair to see if i’m telling the truth.
