ok. i actually attented these awards and they were HORRIBLE! The only performance i enjoyed was Robin Thicke and Omarion (because of his dancing). Other than that, it was clearly a b-list event. J.D. only dropped in the 5 minutes he was there ONLY because he recieved the lifetime achievement award and left directly after. None of the artists that recieved awards were there to accept them, and the seats only had people who havent had albums in years such as Coolio, Jackie-O, Mario etc. Wack, Wack and more Wack. And the afterparty was even worse! Filled with girls in prom dresses and snow boots. i was literally outdone. The Soul Train Awards should be officially canceled after this foolishness of an event.
Recently, they’ve only been playing Soul Train reruns from the 70′s and 80′s. Shit is hilarious!! You could tell damn near all the men were gay on that show.

I agree, soul train was something you would get up every saturday and turn on the tv to see people dance and see what they are wearing. Now it seems like everyone is OVERLY dancing for the cameras. Its pretty bad. Its almost as bad as seeing Ke-Ke shepard still coming out with her arms spread apart still doing the same thing on Ameutur Night at the Apollo!!

My gurl Toya is looking fly, especially in that black n white dress. She shows how beautiful she really is with less makeup but could use even lesser. Janet looks a mess. Everything from her nose, to that strong jaw line, and that 80′s outfit she’s wearing. I didn’t notice how short she was. Jermaine looks a mess as well, Chingy, you aint nobody, Koolio, looks like he just got out of rehab, and Keisha looks nice.

77, that is why LeToya’s latest single “Obivious” didn’t do as well as people wanted, because of the merge. Well, since her album is Platinum now, I hope she can release at least one more song off the album like Hey Fella, All Eyez On Me, Tear Da Club Up, or What Love Can Do. I would choose Tear Da Club Up though.
I just watched this awards show tonight and 45 minutes into it…Chingy came out with 2 other people to present an award to John Legend…all of a sudden it became hot in herre at my house..lol…he somehow managed to look finer than ever…even though he had on sunglasses and a cap, you could still enjoy his sexy lips…i just love him, wish he could have been on longer, because he sure was looking sexy as ever tonight….he and Keisha look like a cute couple together…both of their skin looks so nice and smooth…
The show was nice and it is a pity that 8 of those who were to receive awards did not show up. Anyway they should learn some nice manners. Apart from John Legend who said that he was overseas in Africa, it was pretty disgraceful. LeToya did a good job but Omarion spoke too softly but he was good too. At least he made the effort:congrats. I enjoyed the show. You cannot blame the organizers etc. that the artistes did not RESPECT themselves or FANS enough to attend.
