A lot of honest statements were made here, especially the last part. You would be surprised how many hip-hop “artists” do not let their own kids listen to their music. For what? They know it’s poison. It’s easier to harm/ put someone else’s child in harms way than it is your own… On another note, if her show ended 2 years shy of syndication, does that mean no residual checks… Wow! Speaking the same music industry that made her who she is. Most of the people that buy these artists albums that she speaks upon have bought hers as well.

It’s as though she feels she is the one to revive the as she puts it “Cardiac Arrest” music industry. In my opinion she was hot then and has made too many changes to herself to gain the same loyalty from all her fans. We have seen these same changes from many minority artists and actors before. They gained that so-called street credibility and once they make it big they shun their own peers and the same industry that made them who they are.

Since MC Lyte, there really has not been anybody really hard hip-hop to boot!. Excuse me ya’ll, but I am part of the true old school around. Hip-Hop has been on its death bed truly since the rise of Gangsta rap. We can sugar-coated it and blame it on crap like Laffy Taffy( its no worse than the “Rappin Duke” to me), but when Eve is rapping nonsense lyrics over tired hooks sung by Gwen Stefani and Faith Evans…that is not real hip-hop either. What she should be focusing on is finding MC Lyte’s rhyme books.

Eve is trying to give herself credibility as an MC as if she has contributed quality music to the game when she really isn’t that good herself and ALL her albums sucked.
