The Color Purple Musical on Broadway spiked tickets sales a staggering two-million dollars. The show had experienced some rough weeks at the box office this winter, but once the news hit that Fantasia was joining the cast beginning April 10th, the show’s advance rose by $2 million, according to producer Scott Sanders. I think Fan looks the part, and she probably can relate to the struggle of Celie. I don’t think Michelle got the juice to play Shug. Yep, JHud would make a good Sophia…

I am so happy for Fantasia she really deserves it. She is so humble and that’s what I like. I dont think they should add Jennifer Hudson because it’s Fantasia’s time. So let her do her thing on her own.
