I read all the comments and personally I believe that this is like beating a dead horse to death. At first I had my reservations about their marriage. I am a older woman, and I prefer older men. However, it was refreshing to see 1. A sister getting her props i.e. being held-up as the ultimate trophy (not like what Tony Parker did at his penticle of sucess). 2. A true sister that wasn’t a cheap imitation of a blond blue eye sister. Whatever they have God Bless them and here’s wishing them a wonderfully, joyous life together. Usher appears to be decent because he is taking on not only her but her children too. Do you know the odds of a sister with 3 children finding a successful decent husband? — first of all he would have to accept and love her children too and then be able to offer them first class lives. She is probably more likely to be struck by lightening!!! Therefore, this union tells me that God especially loves her and her children and perhaps Ursher sees something speical in them too. Trust me, when his mom dissapproved I was on her side……but now that God has intervened in this union I am with God. I look at this way Usher is standing-up being the real man - not only is he elevating his wife but four more people that happen to be with her… her children. That is 5 people he has just taken responsibly to totally love and care for and he didn’t have too. There was no welfare so child support court. Apparently he is taking on the responsible for some other brother that fell down on his job. I think he is our ultimate mature male role model and many of you should take a page out of his book and just take care of your own wives and kids. That goes for the women too….take care of your own kids. How many brothers or sisters can make that same claim to fame. Thank you Usher for standing up for your people and your community and liftin-up a black girl and her children out of the ghetto into a fairytale life. Other cultures have the presence of mind and heart to know when they have witnessed an elevation of their people. Our culture on the other hand is mean and calloused toward each other — and can’t stick together and support or be happy for each other no matter what. I didn’t hear any comments being made about Tony Parker.
