Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Hudson has turned down a $3 million role in a Warner Bros. movie because of a nude scene. Ready for the twist? It wasn’t Jennifer’s character that gets naked.
The Dreamgirls star says that she will never appear in a film that features nudity because she is a role model to aspiring young black women. So I guess we won’t be seeing a Jennifer Huson nude scene anytime soon. As stupid as that may be, you must applaud her for sticking to her convictions especially when a big paycheck it being flaunted under her nose. But if that was me, I would have been cashing that check right about now. She wasn’t the one getting naked..

Aside from all the singing, her performance was minimal. She’s slighly overrated and I don’t think she deserved the Oscar. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a great singer, but I don’t think she has an acting career ahead of her.

In the big scheme of things. $3 Million isn’t much in Hollywood. I love the fact that she is sticking to her beliefs. No matter how we may feel it is stupid it is good to see someone with morals. Maybe that is the reason God has been blessing her soo much. She sticks to his plan. Maybe if we all stuck to his plan and listened to him he would guide us to happiness, success and perhaps more financial gain.
I have done a few little things here and there in the entertainment world….and I turned down my first movie after being cast on the spot because I read the entire script and it involved a sex scene that was somewhat out of place and demeaning to women. I was not involved in the scene but the fact that it was in the movie and I knew folks from my hometown (Chicago) would watch it and I did not feel comfortable knowing that my little sister and other children from my neighborhood would watch it and associate me with the movie that had the inappropriate sex scene. Now don’t get me wrong sex is beautiful and so is nudity but only when it is done in a classy way. I don’t want to see black women all on their knees doing anything unless it is praying. Just my 1 cent.
