Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Hudson has turned down a $3 million role in a Warner Bros. movie because of a nude scene. Ready for the twist? It wasn’t Jennifer’s character that gets naked.
The Dreamgirls star says that she will never appear in a film that features nudity because she is a role model to aspiring young black women. So I guess we won’t be seeing a Jennifer Huson nude scene anytime soon. As stupid as that may be, you must applaud her for sticking to her convictions especially when a big paycheck it being flaunted under her nose. But if that was me, I would have been cashing that check right about now. She wasn’t the one getting naked..

Nudity is not bad, we have just been made to believe that something about our naughty bits are deplorable.
However, Hollywood does distort nudity, specifically female nudity. It’s only the women in movies that are required to show their Grand Canyons. Since most movies are greenlighted by White men, then they ultimately decide whether or not a woman’s going to be seen without clothes.
I don’t believe J-Hud said that because she hasn’t said anything on the totally self righteous tip since becoming public. She’s playing the role of nice girl, but not over doing it with a bunch of high morals speak.
Unfortunately, there are not enough opportunities for African Americans to be well represented on screen. If you think about it, there have been a rash of movies, in which other people’s lives are portrayed lately (Ray, The Last King of Scotland, Ali, Dream Girls, Pursuit of Happyness, Last King of Scotland). We need to have a greater represenation showing the dispersion and ordinariness of Black life, as well as the buffoonary movies and “re-inactments”.
But there are paradoxes and contraditions in our lives. In other words, for 3 mi$$ion, I probably would have held the camera on my icebox myself!
Some of these people are so money hungry that they would say anything. It’s sad you would sell your soul to the Devil for money, good things come to those who wait.

It boggles the mind to think that some people on here hold opinions as to what Jennifer should do with her life. We can’t even predict our own future more less anyone else’s. Come on. Jennifer is a grown woman who, I’m sure if this rumor is true, made a decision to not be in the movie based on her beliefs. Who are we to discredit her just because some of us are money hungry and would sell our mama for two bits.
From what I hear, the rumor is false, but even if it isn’t, we don’t know one thing about Jennifer’s future or her life. It kills me when I hear, “She won’t get past her 15 minutes of fame, blah, blah, blah” like somehow we have a crystal ball and can see into her future. Sometimes I get the feeling there are people who want her to fail. Sad.
According to some people’s belief, she should just take a role just because it’s offered. I totally understand Jennifer is new to the game, but she has God in her life and I’m sure she is allowing Him to lead her in whatever direction she should go in whether it’s in Hollywood or not. Just my thoughts.
Jennifer, tune out the naysayers and keep doing what ya do.
She a grown woman and will be faced with a number of choices and consequences – and in the entertainment business a lot of those choices may challenge her “moral” position and christian beliefs….
But, this story seems like a plant – because actors are sent scripts all of the time, and they turn down projects all of the time, but it doesn’t make the news, and usually there is no mention of the amount of $$$ that they would be paid.
Dig Deeper – – maybe this story is a plant to set the foundation so that when she isn’t offered more movie roles in hollywood, they can point back to this supposed “position” as the reason why -

Too much is made out of nudity. It doesn’t always have to be something to look down on. It’s not like we’re talking about porn. But nudity and sexuality in general has been so frowned upon in society that we now have to be ashamed of the human body itself. Go fig.

It’s nice that she has her convictions, but I think she should have taken the role if it was a good film that would have allowed for some artistic growth. If you approach acting as a craft and not a job, you need to consider the overall worth of the film too. She wasn’t the one getting naked…she can still be a role model to young girls even if she’s in a movie where another character appears nude. Anyway, it’s nice that she has her beliefs.

shows how money is not everything to pther people. she would not compromise her standards even if it wasnt her personally, but she knows she would have been associated with that. thank God for women who has self respect.Hope God provides her more decent work. She is a role model.
