Admittedly, I fell into the “Brandy’s career is over” trap because of the appearances and comments on “America’s Got Talent” as well as the terrible accident, and the lack of material, even with all the rumors of Brandy re-connecting with Darkchild, as well as working on some new tracks with The Neptunes. It just seemed that being signed to her brother Ray J’s label was not a good look, seeing as though he had to stage and release a sex tape to keep his name in the press. But there is something diggable about this new/unreleased Brandy song, “Just Like Tommy.” Although I don’t know what it’s place on radio would be, and I’m not sure which album sessions this track is taken from, I dig her voice and the live instruments in the track. It definitely is a little different from Brandy since her more synth-R&B-pop sounds from “Full Moon” and “Afrodisiac.”

I have Brandy’s Full Moon CD. I like her and I hope she has a good comeback. Afrodesiac was pretty good too (not really feeling the raspy vocals from her on that CD but the lyrics and production was tight).
Timbaland, Darkchild, Neptunes have all worked with hope and they should work with her again for her next album to bring some hits.

Either way This song is about 5 years old. This is not a new song, It”s cool and it shows Brandy is not a one dimensional artist. She will bounce back, her career isn’t over thats a matter of opinion, people still know who Brandy is regardless of sales or the accident. She has done something in this industry and it’s sad that people can’t respect that after 13 years of hard work and great music.

I still love Brandy and I’ve always loved Brandy! The girl is talented,point-blank. And as far as those non-musical people who buy albums based on the artist with the biggest butt, you do not count.
My only criticism for B-rocka is that she needs to understand that “the game” is totally different than it was in the 90′s and the demographic of peopel who buy albums have changed. It is no longer about talent and he needs to do gear her music and singles toward he original fans (like me).
