I don’t know how many of you watch American Idol but, there is this public obsession with a contestant who is on the show named Sanjaya Malakar – an 17 yr. old half Indian dude from Seattle. Now if you see him perform, you’ll clearly find out that he is not the best singer on the show. What keeps the public intrigued though is…well it’s a factor of things.
For one, he is just a fascinating person who loves to Hula dance and blow kisses to the camera. Secondly, people admire his hairdos. Last night marked the umpteenth hairstyle he rocked on Idol – and this one was the boldest.
Lastly though, people like to see him evolve. I mean from his remedition of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ to last week’s performance – people still want to see him and he’s becoming the next Michael Jackson. Don’t believe me? Just ask this little white girl.
Howard Stern even got together with Vote For The Worst to support Sanjaya and keep him on the show. It’s a movement now. Sure the guy is entertaining, but if he seriously wins then America has gone too far.

umm.. seriously it’s gone far enough. The dude sucks and the whole hairstyle is pretty much a distraction from his actual singing which like I said sucks. The judges hardly commented on his singing because of his hair. I mean he even knows he sucks which is why he uses these ploys for attention. The madness must stop.
honestly i feel bad for this kid i don’t even think he knows why he’s still on the show. he’s gotta be hardcore depressed i mean he must see all the stuff people say about him but w/e.

He is really messing things up on American Idol. The quicker we vote him off the better the show will be. And the better the competition will be. If he wins i just won’t be able to look at American Idol the same.

American Idol is losing all credibility because of it but ultimately, you have to blame the judges because they are the ones who put him in the top 24. He should not have even been there. They cut some pretty good, talented people to put Sanjaya through so now they just have to deal with it. Now the judges WANT him gone, but too late, you’ve put it in American’s hands.

I think because of this “vote for the worst” thing, good singers like Stephanie Edwards are getting voted off and not getting their fair chance. He will probally make the finals when other contestants are more deserving.

This is the reason why I stopped watching American Idol. They would kick off the talented people and keep people who ‘looked good’ but couldn’t sing.

Sanjaya has great personality but he is young and has a lot of growing to do I actually think in 2 to 3 years he will find himself and could be a force to reckoned with(in whatever he chooses) but as of today he needs to hang it up.
LOL. Most people don’t take American Idol that seriously. People with actual talent that don’t win the title can still go on to greater success (J-Hud), so I’m not worried. I think it would be fun to see someone like Sanjaya win. What are the producers gonna do? Get mad at the public for voting for him? If that’s the case, then they shouldn’t leave it up to the public.

AI is a joke right now IMO. I have managed to catch a few episodes here and there and noticed that none of the contestants really have the star quality previous contestants posessed such as Kelly Clarkson, Tamyra Gray, hell even Chris Daughtry.
The line up this season is weak with the exception of Stephanie Edwards. (Melinda will not win this, let it go!) When Steph was cut BEFORE Sanjaya, I thought WTF?

I refuse to vote for this show because people seem to vote for this dumb ass American Idol thing more than a gubernatorial vote or a senatorial vote or a presidential vote in America so I ain’t voting for no reality tv show but I will be voting for the next Black president next year.
