ROBIN THICKE IMPRESSES HEAVY HITTING NYC CROWD

robin_thicke.jpg
Robin Thicke’s success with his current single “Lost Without U” is bringing heavy hitters to his concerts. At his New York City show last Thursday, studio honchos Antonio “L.A.” Reid, Andre Harrell and Steve Stoute gathered in a packed club to see if fans were right about the soulful singer/songwriter.

According to MTVNews.com, Thicke raps Lil Wayne’s last verse on “Shooter” on one knee in his shows, using the mic stand as a gun to reinforce the song’s theme.

The R&B Number One “Lost Without U” has boosted sales of The Evolution of Robin Thicke to nearly one million.

Not only will Thicke be getting his ‘film score’ on with wife Paula Patton. It’s rumored that he may be soon joining a well-known pop music diva on tour.

And for all the Robin Thicke lovers out there, here is one of the dopest songs on the Deluxe Edition of “The Evolution of Robin Thicke.” It’s entitled “Superman.” If you’ve been sleeping this long, it’s time for you to wake your ass up.

@ #53/54 I like when he sings in faucetto he works it in a way that most singers would find challenging. I know what you mean though about him singing the single every performance but the industry is so commercial now. That is the single that took people too long to notice him so you know that is the song most people wanna hear.

But he is versitile he can do so much more. He has been overlooked for years…sometimes you have to keep hitting people on the head to knock sense into them. They finally see

  8. “Teach You” on that album is soooo smooth. I could listen to him all day and night.

  9. KI KI

HE REALLY SOUNDS TERRIBLE WHEN HE SINGS LIVE THE STUDIO DOES WONDERS FOR HIM NOW DON’T GET ME WRONG THE ALBUM SOUNDS NICE BUT HE’S NO JON B. REMEBER THIS GUY HE WAS HOT.

  10. guerdie

I love him soo much. It is so refreshing to see a song writer who has been around for quite some time now finally get the true recognition that he deserves. And now he does not have to sit on the sidelines watching, while performers get credit in regards to getting Grammys and song recognitioon when they didnt write arrange or produce, absolutely nothing. Maybe give a little creative input as far as the song is concerned. But as far as him putting people on, Usher had better give him props because yes Robin did write and produce Confessions for him. Hes been doin this since he was a kid, way before Neyo. He’s not a ghost writer any more he’s doin his own ish i love you Robin Thick

  11. Meatloaf

Isn’t he half black? That’s my white nigga!

  12. SEXYATLien

Robin Thicke, what a breath of fresh R&B air. I just bought the CD after thiefing my friends for quite some time. I am feeling “TEACH YOU” and “COMPLICATED.” I play those all day.

  15. Jon B is still the man to beat when it comes to caucasian R&B singers.

  16. Meatloaf

You black women need to quit trippin…these white men don’t want y’all black asses! lol What did Glover say in the Color Purple…”You black, you skinny and you can’t cook!” At least Sug Avery had talent…she could sang! Yeah, and Halle knows how to give face! I swear to good! hehe!

So, y’all can just show up at the club this weekend and find you a brother to buy you a drank! Don’t nobody want y’all but us and we don’t know no betta! lol

Y’all know we don’t like sistas changing teams! How Robin gone look showing up for dinner with one of y’all? Alan would take him off the will!

  17. sxycarmel26

@78,I could have swore he is married to a BLACK woman. As much as you “BLACK” men run to white women! the nerve. Pay back is a mutha.

  18. Love Robin Thicke

meatloaf, robin thicke is married to paula patton. she is a black woman.

  19. Meatloaf

Ahhh, yeah, but, how many of y’all can give face or fame like Paula and Halle? Sure, a white man or asian for that matter, will go after the cream of the crop, but that’s only the upper 2% of y’all! I’ll see the rest of y’all at the club this weekend or at Tabernacle on Sunday!

Stop trippin and just stay close to home! lol If you don’t have fame or the looks, the guys like Robin are not interested! Y’all know Vensus and Serena would be on CL looking for a man if they didn’t have fame!

  20. sxycarmel26

Anyway he is doing good respectful music, and I’m a fan. Your opinion no matter how ignorant is still your opinion. @meatloaf

  21. Meatloaf

    82. sxycarmel26, don’t be gettin mad at me Ms. Celie! I use to worry that one day, black women would start changing teams, but then I realized, we the only ones who really want y’all! I can count the random sistas I see with white men on one hand! That $#!T ain’t funny!

Yeah, Robin’s music is good! He grew up listening to Motown and Atlantic records, so he knows the ghetto code, but only one out of a million white dudes have something extra!

Now, some of these random fact are not my opinion! This is just the way it is! I swear to good! lol

  22. B-Dub

I’D PAY TO BE ROBIN’S DYCK, SO I COULD HAVE SEX WITH PAULA PATTON EVERYDAY. NO HOMO. THAT WOMAN IS SO BEA-U-TI-FUL!

  23. I recently saw him in concert and I guess he does that at all of them. He raps all the rap parts of the songs he performs. He’s a very good story teller. His songs are off the chain. He’s a great performer!

  30. Jamila

Robin did the gun/mic stand thing when i saw him back in August.. ain’t nothin’ new with that.. kinda shocking to see in the south.. a white man pointing a stick at you like a gun.. but whatever… he has fun up there.. he means no harm.. now if only his fine ass bass player would stop grandstanding.. tell that boy the entire show is NOT his solo.. gotdammit!

  31. GodivaSweet

92 LMAO, I saw him last night and I fell in love with Thicke all over again! He sounded great, falsetto and all. And as for that bass player, the girls were lining up for him after the show!

haters betta not hate on robin thicke just cuz he white. eminem’s white and he’s well resepected in the rap industry.

  37. R.I.P Aaliyah

This guy sucks. Him n mister timberlake are reason y other artist that are actually “talented” are overshadowed by that bullshit he calls soulful, hes writing is mediocre. They claim all the brothas sing about is sex and degrade women, but people like Musiq Soulchild, Lyfe Jennings, Maxwell, Van Hunt who are Great Singers with actual soul gets no credit. That Pop Band Boy comeback song was “sexy back” if u actually listen to the words its the same thing that they claim “ALL BLACK SINGERS DO”. W/ his wife in the video, i wonder with one of his ppl actually came up with that marketing scheme to attract “A CERTAIN TYPE OF CROWD” Talking about “Hes written songs for other big artist before like Usher n Mya” Confessions sucked, 8701 was better, 10 X better, n where is Mya, besides songs with Silk The Shocker n damn near naked in the vid with Jada(that was my shit tho)., whats she doing nothing, where she going, nowhere.

F**K Robin Thicke ( Had the nerve to compare to Stevie Wonder.
F**K Justin Boy Band Pop fag (doesnt n will never do R&B)
F**K Timbo for leaving my nigga Ginuwine to frolic w/ the white boy.
F**K Nelly Furtado ( NO…….Timbo its not working, wheres Tweet, i guess he doesnt think she is “pretty” enough to market)
F**K Joss Stone ( She can never in her life compare to Angie, Jill, Floetry)
F**K Amy Whinestone or Whinehouse whatever the hell her name is ( Dont ever compare her to Lauren Hill even tho Lauren did slip up)

Shout Out 2: Aaliyah, Monica, Brandy, Tboz, Left Eye,Total,Immature(IMX),Chin-ky, SWV, 702, Blaque, MJB, Xscape, Ginuwine, Soul For Real, Dru Hill, 112, Jodeci, Next, Tyrese, Ruff Endz, R Kelly, Usher, Avant, Jahiem,Sammie, Donell Jones, Tony Sunshine, D’Angelo, Tony Toni Tone, Jon B (hes actually coming back out so bye bye Robin Thicke face n Justin Pop boy band guy).

N 2 Artist today trying to bring it back to the Mecca: Keyshia Cole, Trey Songz, Lyfe Jennings, Ne-yo, Musiq, Mario,Fantasia.
