Jennifer Hudson updated her myspace blog last week and wanted to clear the air on those new rumors that have been circulating around the net. Here is what she had to say:
hey guys. once again i think its time to address these rumors thats been going on about me. there are 3 main ones that has been floating around and i want to address them personally so you guys can know the truth
1.) i turned down a movie role for 3 million dollars because of a nude scene and i wasnt the person getting nude. nothing about that is true. i want to do my album. and my fans have waited so patiently for me to put out an album and i appreciate everyone of you, thats why im focused on putting out my first project. and yes i will continue to still do movies.
2.) all of the american idol stuff and burger king comments. i never said anything about if i was better at burger king i would not be there either. and yes i did say american idol was a stepping stone. which it is! i didnt mean it in a bad way. and as i said in my previous interviews american idol is a stepping stone because had it not been for them no one would of knew of a jennifer hudson to call to audition for dreamgirls! its like everything i say referring to the show gets twisted around and makes me look like im being arrogant and a “diva”, since alot of people seems to have that opinion about me and that is not me at all. im not bothered by these rumors because im use to it but i do read the boards and i see my fans are upset by some of the negative rumors concerning me and that is what hurts me the most is to see people who care about me being impacted by all of this.
3.) the soul train awards show and me trying to sabotoge it by not showing up. only thing i can say to this is that i was there! and i appreciate being honored there just as much as i appreciated being honored at the all the award shows i attended. but once again im just writing this for my fans, supporters, and friends who want to know the truth. i am a person with feelings and although i have been warned that things like this would happen to me. and since i am new to this let me be the first to tell you that i have sat back not to long ago just like you guys .I read things about my favorite artist and let me tell you since im experiencing this first hand you guys cant believe everything you read because its not true. o one more thing. im grateful for all my blessings and i thank God for it everyday and no amount of fame will ever go to my head and make me think that im better than anyone because we are all equal. and as quickly as God gave everything he has given me he can take it away!

THE ONLY THING SHE NEEDS TO DO IS FOCUS ON WHATS BEST FOR HER CAREER AND KEEP SANGING(BECAUSE SHE DOESN’T SING) AND ACTING. SHE DOESN’T NEED TO DIGNIFY ALL THAT MESS WITH A RESPONSE BESIDES IF SHE CHOOSES NOT TO APPEAR AT AN AWARDS SHOW IS IT REALLY A BIG DEAL? PLENTY OF PEOPLE DON’T SHOW UP AT AWARDS SHOWS.

i never believed those rumours anyway. The way there were various rumours all of a sudden of J-Hud being a diva-this and diva-that. It stank of the media trying to have a “Humble Golden Girl Turns into Big Headed Diva” story. i know that shit when i smell it and believe me-it stank
but on a more serious note J-Hud might have a voice but she really needs to take some off-set English tutoring because her grammar, syntax and spelling are quite frankly appalling. but then again i guess all that don’t really matter when you making that paper!go head jen & good luck with the album (you’ll need it)

Can I just say JHud did not ask for all this publicity…check your girl Bey for that, Jhud just did a good job and I am happy for her for that. It is sad how people build you up just to tear you down. I appreciate it nonetheless and I hope she continues to get blessed!! She deserves it….She did a damn good job in DreamGirls and anyone who deniese that is just hating! I wish her the best…..and less Lacefronts!! ha ha …;)

I like Jennifer. I hate she feels the need to stroke fans on the head. Jen, do you and stop trying to please people. You’ll feel better about yourself and your choices in life.
Hmm I’ve actually met Jennifer Hudson and she had was acting real diva-ish for no apparent reason. Her whole attitude just turned me off to the point where when Dreamgirls was finally released I didn’t even bother looking into it even after being invited to 5 different screenings.
I don’t personally know if those particular rumors were true but based off my own personal experience with this girl I wouldn’t count out the fact that there is probably some truth to them. It doesn’t matter because sooner or later people’s true self always catches up with them. So I think people will see that’s just not as sweet and humble as she tries to play.
That said Jennifer needs some media training in general.
And also just because you have talent doesn’t always= success in the industry. Takes a little more than that. That sucks and is not fair but that’s reality.
She made it worse with that Soul Train comment. Anybody can see she didn’t straight up deny that rumor. It’s better to just let the rumors fizzle out or just let your publicist handle it rather than look like you are kinda, sorta, but not really, denying something.
Plus, with the myspace thing, and the Black Voices thing, she just kicked up a whole new gossip cycle when really people have short attention spans and would have been onto the next story.

If you feel the need to clear something up , it must be some truth to it. Man I’m teling you she’s a diva, she had a party in Chicago at Kanye’s club called Boutique and was acting like a true one. All this has gone to her head….she even them lace front wigs to death, looking like a mess on the Soul Train awards. I dont / I will not believe the hype, she has no grace… Hope all these fans go out an get 2 copies of that CD !!!!!!
I think all of the rumours or comments she and her fans are reading will stop once her album comes out. Too bad its not coming out till 4Q07 though
