These message boards are entertaining because you really get to the crux of the matter. When you deal with people in person it’s so much of a facade and a mirage. That’s why I laugh when I hear or read people talk about “hate” and how evil “hate” is. Hate is in all and through all. It’s just a matter of whether or not you acknowledge your hate. It could be hate from truth or hate from opinion, but it’s hate nonetheless. All you have to do is read these “honest” opinions and it’s obvious that one cannot escape the “hate”, and to me that’s beautiful. In this society “hate” is codeword for honesty. Be honest with me as a black man (or any person for that matter) so that I know where I stand and I can defend myself and what I know to be true.
At the end of the day be consistent with what you stand for and what you claim to believe in so that you don’t mock yourself, lol. last time i checked wearing a weave didn’t make my ass get small, my voice get high pitched and whiny or magically turn my skin from brown to white. get over the weaves brothas. changing your hair doesn’t make you a sell out or fool people into thinking i’m something i’m not. even if my hair was down to my ass naturally i would still look like a black woman.

I kinda-sorta met Terrance Howard several years ago in Philly. He was JUST about to blow-up in his career when I saw him. It was at a Friendly’s Restaurant in Philly and he brought with him 3 of the whitest kids I’ve ever seen on a black man. Anyway, his name escaped me for a moment because I was just excited that it was him, cause he’s a wonderful actor. So, I calmed my exitement and politely approached him and said “excuse me, I know you’re probably busy, but aren’t you…” then..he cut me off, rolled his eyes and said “NO!! I’m NOT!” I didn’t even get a chance to finish my dang sentence.
