This was my joint this past summer…as soon as I heard it on Hot 97, I loved it! It doesn’t matter if she’s light-skinned, or dark-skinned, the girl could sing. She sings with emotion and that emotion comes from pain…and I’m all for those who’ve been through some painful ish…and live to sing about it! I coppin that CD on June 5Th as an early Bday present o my damn self.

Not a great voice, but I like the song. Uh, except for that part when she said her baby’s daddy hit her mom with a metal pan. That shit just sounds too “out there” to be put in a song, and plus that nigga would be DEAD fuckin’ with my mama like that! i already loved the song…it gives me chills…shows struggle…and she is a beauty too! can’t wait for the album!!

I’ve been feelin Deemi for a while. This isn’t my favorite song of her’s though, and I personally don’t think it was the best choice for a lead single for her album, but it’s not my choice. She had a track out a while ago called “Move” with Fabolous which was cool. Her track “Hotel” (the female take on Cassidy’s track) is pretty tight too. Hope she does well, wanna see more of her.
