These are okay, but how many different ways can you dress up beyonce, change her hairstyle, and chane her makeup? I definitely agree, Jazzy. So many of these artists claim to be doing things that are creative and different, but most of the creativity is spent on picking outfits. I really like Beyonce, and I think that in terms of singing, she definitely is one of the best out of the artists with a mass audience, but it is so frustrating when no one is really stepping outside of the safe zone. I think her next move is going to be trying to learn an instrument and incorporate that into her live shows. I heard an interview recently where she said she was trying to learn to play the guitar well. Also, when she was on TRL recently, she really tried to stress the fact that she was holding a guitar in the Green Light video. We’ll see. Like I said, I like her, but I just wish she would be a little more natural. If you want to add that additional layer to your musicianship, great. Just tell us that you’d really like to do that one day rather than trying to send subliminal messages that you’re holding a guitar. I don’t know, sometimes I really like her, and sometimes she really frustrates me. I still can’t wait to hear her live at Essence this summer though.

My opinion on the videos:

Kitty Kat intro: Great makeup artistry, shrugworthy on the actual video.

Green light: I’m on the fence about the actual song, but I do like the video. The striped dress looks fab on her.

Suga Mama: It was straight. Again I’m on the fence about the actual song.

Freakum Dress: I don’t like the song. I like the concept of the video and the many changing outfits, but I didn’t particularly care for the dresses, I agree that they do look like cheap, shiny vinyl.

Get me bodied: LOVE the song, I like certain parts of the video more than others.

Flaws & All: I like the song. The video is cute.

It is a slang term and if you were preparing a paper in school as a dissertation or in a thesis it would be viewed as wrong. American English is viewed as “proper english” however, it really is only “standard english” and I know that it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is right. But conversate is viewed as a slang and people are confusing as something else.
