Umm, MR.Lighteyez, Eddie Murphy was nominated for best supporting actor at the Oscars and the Golden globes. And they but her name in the same order the did in the ending credits of the movie. This name lineup has nothing to do with the award she won. This is her first movie or acting project period so that’s were the “introducing” came from.
JHud does look rather small in this pic, but before you know it she will probably look even smaller than that in person, Hollywood tends to make people want to be thin

I know, huh? I liked Anika in the movie. Before I saw it, I thought she wasn’t really going to be in much of the movie, much less have as much “character time” as she did. I hope she has movie roles coming up, because she did to a good job acting as far as I’m concerned.
I mean the promotion posters from when the film first started playing.

The role of EFFIE in the original Dream Girls production(theater/early 80s for those of you who were around back then,lol) was a MAJOR role. It was played by Jennifer Holiday ,who was a BIG woman when the play debuted.That role won Jennifer Holiday alot of Awards, so the that EFFIE was a MAIN character should have been of lil surprise to people who were even vaguely familiar with the original production.The role of Dina (Beyonce ) was played by Cheryl Lee Ralph ( Moeshas stepmama), and the role of Lovell ( Anika Rose was played by a very small (Loretta Devine-BBW in Waiting to Exhale, also played Fantasias mama in Factasia Barrino story! Just a lil background insight.You can see Jennifer Holiday singing “Im tellign you in ther original play and the other original DREAMS if you put her name in YOUTUBE .They have alot of old video archives. Youll understand why she wont the awards back then and wht that role even today was so important.
