Whether or not the mom was asleep, I do not care. There is no way she could know it was okay to sleep and leave her kids in the care of two clearly irresponsible teens. If she was awake then she is blatantly neglectfull. Either way, she needs to be sent to parenting classes and be supervised periodically to make sure those kids aren’t being endangered.

I’m a 22 year old mother of two from Fort Worth, which is in the same county as Watagua and was appalled at this video when I saw it. She gives young black mothers a bad name. Even though I am a young mother myself, I would not let anyone, (family or not) subject my children to this type of behavior. Someone who knows the two boys called into one of the local stations and said the mother has been known to smoke with them before. Whether or not she was in the room during t he session caught ontape is irrelevant because it is obvious these babies have done this before? Where was her sorry ass before?

I hate to have to do this, but you have to put something like this in perspective. There’s alot worse stuff out that these kids could have been doing with these boys. This is not to say I condone it, nor am I saying that these misguided teens don’t deserve the America’s Dumbest Uncles award, but we live in a world now where something like this can be overblown. But are these kids lives over, will they be scarred for life, probably not. They may even grow up to write a rap song about it. If they never smoke weed again, they will never remember the time when they were toddlers getting high. So if a woman can drown all 5 of her kids and not go to jail, and if female teachers can molest little boys, and if an 84 yr old granny can have sex with a 10 yr old boy and not go to jail…………..then give these boys a kick in the ass, give them community service, get these boys some JOBS so they can find something better to do with their time. In this particular story the children are 2 and 5. The mother is 21 years old and the uncle is 17. Clearly the uncle saw these children as his little brothers more than nephews tha the is supposed to be nurturing. The 21 year old mother started out having babies at 16, nuff said.

Also the news interviewed the great-grand parents. The great-grand mother looked like she was only in her 50’s. Where in the fuck were the 40 something year old grandparents! Some segments of our community is beyond repair or salvation. This is the proof of that fact.

I live in North Richland Hills and couldnt believe what I was seeing. The mom looked like a crack head. The kids thought they were being cool and probably didnt think this would come back to hunt them or didnt care.
