So last week BET aired their top 25 dancers of all time. I’ve been hearing that a lot of people were upset with the results. I personally think the list was ok. And after thinking about it for awhile, I decided that my opinion didn’t mean shit because I’m not really into dance that much.
However, I’m still wondering how the hell Chris Brown made it above Janet Jackson and Usher. WTF? And was it me or did Chris look a little cracked out when he was hosting the show? We need to keep an eye on that fool, something ain’t right.

Okay. everyone who commented is tripping hard. Michael Jackson is the best dancer of all time. Yes James Brown was a great entertainer but he is best known for his scream where as Michael is KNOWN for his dancing. Everyone constantly comments of looking-up to and copying Michael. Not once have I heard someone say they are mocking the moves of James Brown, perhaps maybe Michael when he was a child but he surpassed him by a long ways.
Also Chris Brown is an outstanding dancer but is in no way even close to Janet Jackson.

I don’t think the list was actually compiled by actual skill but by popularity. BET is a business just like any other company, so they have to satisfy their target audience as well. Ciara over Beyonce? Chris Brown over Janet and Usher…? C’mon… you know this isn’t right. They can’t give credit where credit is due because most of their audience wasn’t around for Pleasure Principle and Usher pre-Confessions. LOL don’t bite the hand that feeds you… smart move BET.

James Brown Definitely Top Ten And Originator And Very Talented But This Is The Greatest Dancers Of All Time Not The Most Influential. M.J. Is Number 1. Period. Janet, Chris Brown, Usher, MC Hammer And So On Deserver To Be On Here But It’s Disrespectful To Have Them Behind Some Of The People Who Are On Here And To have Them On A List With So Many Top People Missing. But Missy Elliot, Tina Turner, And Jennifer Lopez Belong No Where Near This List. The Can All Dance but Your Putting Them On A List With Real Dancers Jennifer Lopez Wasn’t Even The Best Fly Girl On In Living Color And She Looks A Mess Without Rosie Perez Teaching Her And Telling Her How TO Do The Steps. She Still Can Dance But Not On The Same Level. And Bobby Brown.. Sorry No. And Diddy Is A Horrible Dancer. Bad Terrible And Some Other Words. And the BET list was all over the place plus I thought it was bias towards non-blacks (which was why it’s on BET) but you cant start name the show top 25 dancers when you exclude genres of dance.

The BET list is comprised of popular performers who are proficient dancers as well by no means the greatest dancers but who were able to combine the artistry of dance with their vocal talents to give a great performance! If the Greatest Dancers List does not include names like Baryshnikov, TalleyBeatty,Katherine Dunham, The recently departed Late Great Jimmy Slyde, Dyann robinson,Pearl Primus,Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Pegleg, Billy Wilson, Bill Bojangles Robinson and the stairstep! WELL! It’s just not real! Lola Falana on her worse day could outdance a Janet,Ciara or aaliyah! The BET show makes interesting viewing but the reality of dance is soo much more and it’s legacy far outshines the latest Usher video! Janet paved the way for female artist of today. So I think she deserves her spot at number 5 coz she the best female and highest ranked female in this list. CB is an exceptional dancer but Usher deserves more credit than CB.
