Okay. everyone who commented is tripping hard. Michael Jackson is the best dancer of all time. Yes James Brown was a great entertainer but he is best known for his scream where as Michael is KNOWN for his dancing. Everyone constantly comments of looking-up to and copying Michael. Not once have I heard someone say they are mocking the moves of James Brown, perhaps maybe Michael when he was a child but he surpassed him by a long ways.

Also Chris Brown is an outstanding dancer but is in no way even close to Janet Jackson.

I don’t think the list was actually compiled by actual skill but by popularity. BET is a business just like any other company, so they have to satisfy their target audience as well. The BET list is comprised of popular performers who are proficient dancers as well by no means the greatest dancers but who were able to combine the artistry of dance with their vocal talents to give a great performance! If the Greatest Dancers List does not include names like Baryshnikov, TalleyBeatty,Katherine Dunham, The recently departed Late Great Jimmy Slyde, Dyann robinson,Pearl Primus,Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Pegleg, Billy Wilson, Bill Bojangles Robinson and the stairstep! WELL! It’s just not real! Lola Falana on her worse day could outdance a Janet,Ciara or aaliyah! The BET show makes interesting viewing but the reality of dance is soo much more and it’s legacy far outshines the latest Usher video!
