Something doesn’t seem right about this. Tampering with the voting process? You could only vote once per day, how could someone tamper with it? Kiri was in third place and when people from Afrobella and Concreteloop started to give her support, she entered first place. But now the voting is closed? I don’t know about you, but I call bull-shit!

I still haven’t heard anything from Cosmo Girl or Hearst Publications, but I wanted to let you know that Jeff Bercovici of Radar Magazine did a little write up on this whole issue. You can check it out here. Keep sending those emails in!!

No one from CosmoGirl responded to my email or contacted me via the phone. But they did respond to Radar Magazine, saying:
A spokeswoman offered this statement to Radar, “It is disappointing that people are jumping to conclusions and making false accusations before the winner has been determined. The Cosmogirl Take Action Hollywood Film Contest online voting was eliminated because it had been compromised by online voters. As has always been the case, the final winner will be chosen by a panel of celebrity judges. The films from the three semi-finalists are all incredible works of art and we know that the judges have a tough decision to make. The winner will be featured in the August 2007 issue of Cosmogirl.”

I actually watched the video and voted 1 time. Cosmo’s actions totally invalidate my right to be counted.

Thats their fault if they wanted to have an online contest. Then you have a contest where the public votes they may do it for whatever reason they way and that’s their choice. I don’t think that there is any way to ever prevent that. Thats no reason to throw out the votes. Plus, the video was on YouTube so we all posted it, so people could view it on YouTube or numerous blogs. I didn’t watch it on CosmoGirl.
