Last week radio/tv host, Don Imus got a little too comfortable while commentating on an NCAA basketball game. The old cracker probably hit the bottle a little too hard before it went live, and couldn’t control his natural instincts. Watch the video to see what he said and discuss.
I think this whole incident shows how far we still have to go in the black community. I feel kind of responsible some of this shit. CL was starting to ride that fucked up train of seperation, but I’m not going to do it anymore. I just wanted to say that I apologize to everyone if I offended them in anyway and that we need to start changing our ways or we will never prosper.

WoW, I must say that I do not get surprised anymore when comments, such as that trash, is made. Will he get fired…who knows? But let’s be honest with ourselves. All talk and no action…as a community, if we started speaking out about these comments instead of sending half-ass representatives, maybe others would take our opinions more seriously.

I had one Asian lady act surprised because, when she tried to talk to me like an elementary child I corrected her attitude and still carried myself in a professional manner. When the altercation was over she told me that she expected me to get an attitude and try to basically beat her ass!!!
WTF…this lady also told me that the last black woman to work in my branch was “very black” and fat. Then surrounding co-workers laughed…like that shyt was actually funny.

I recently moved here (for work purposes) to the south after living in NY and so I am astounded at how some of these folk think. Don Imus this morning apologized for his sayings, he almost dedicated his whole show to the topic and he gave a very sincere apology. I don’t know… but i somewhat feel that he shouldnt be fired for his comments. He plans to be on Al Sharpton’s radio show later this afternoon and plans to meet with the actual people he insulted. Do you think he should be fired or is this already a punishment (with him being in the media and have to explain himself- and not being trusted)?
I personally don’t think he was being racist, if he was, he would have made those type of comments towards both teams.
