Now that’s what I’m talking about, get that free education man. I wish Lil Romeo the best, he’s serving a great example right now. So if you ask me if he’s better than Bow Wow, then I’ll say – HELL YES (don’t ask me lyrically though because I could care less about their music).

I had no idea he was 5’11, Lil Romeo ain’t all that little!

  4. ♪§MÌ₪∈

Awwwwwwwwww thats so great!!! I hope he go all the way to the pros and shit.

  5. Alright now ROMEO! It’s good to see him doing so well. He’s getting an education & making his own money. If you ask me, Mater P did a damn good job raising the boy.

I’m happy for him. And he’s a lil’ cutie!

NOW, I hope he doesn’t let some silly lil’ Juliet trap him & get a future settlement of half his earnings. (*smh* at Juanita Jordan)

  6. kawaii

well done to romeo, its nice to see hes acting as a good role model for black boys, since they ar in dire need of one. seems like his daddy did a good job on him

  7. Master P ain’t no dummy, he always been wise with his money. I’m glad he’s teaching his boy the same (well hopefully)

  8. RissJay

This is just what I like to see!! All the best to him!

  9. boyer

Master P knows how to hustle hard. He still got money and his rap thing going on when he was kicked out from Bay area and now his son doing good.
Well regarding height i think romeo grew in last couple of years as you can see from pic, master P is like 6.3-4″ . So Romeo could be 5.11″s. Which is not bad considering studio gangsta(Bow Wow).
Good luck Romeo for your college.

  10. yea! I’m glad he getting an EDUCATION. because so many people think rap pays the bills, NOT!

  11. Ras

Y does he need a scholarship if he and his family(still) have money couldnt his scholarship be given 2 someone who needed it more

  12. Sexy Xsjado Girl

I’m happy to see a positive outlook of any kind. Good luck kid, do your thang.

  13. T

    That’s what I’m talkin about!!!

  14. Long Hair Beauty

Oh lord, those white girls gonna take him over at college…if not them then the main campus hoes lol, we all know it, and hes gonna play ball? Oh yeah their gonna be on that thang once his daddy drops him off at his dorm lol. Thats coo though, Im in college, we’re only like 2-3 years apart in age. That lil boy could get it, he finally grew into that extra skinny body wit his cute ass

  15. Master P is a great role model for all these black fathers out here. That no matter how much money you have, you still need to be active in your child’s upbringing. He did a great job.

  16. BORED @ WORK

that’s such good news… looks like his daddy taught him that you have to work for what you want and nothing is just handed to you…. if you want to keep up a certain standard of living, you must work hard for it to maintain it….

  17. Candy

That’s great news I love that their family value education and not just $$$ GOOD LUCK Romeo!!!!!!!!

  18. I was thinking the same thing Ras. It is great that he is going to college but I know Master P could pay for him to go to school and let somebody else who really need a scholarship get it. But anyhoo, good look Lil Romeo.

  19. Yadiszha

Trust me, USC will get there money’s worth. And don’t think the Development team will not be hittin’ up Mr. Master P. for donations in the future.

Let’s just hope that the focus is not so much on Romeo the star athlete but the star athlete student.

Too many of our college male African American athletes (Bball and Football) are really not academically inclined and see college as a stopover til eligibility for the pros. But I’m sure coming from Hollywood High, he’s no joke intellectually.

–SH*TTTTTTTTTTTTT, IT PAYS THEIR BILLS! BUT THIS IS A GOOD LOOK. This lil dude grown? I just hope this aint a stunt like what Lil’ Wayne did. P, you gotta have respect for him, he’s teaching this boy well. He’s one of the richest kids in the world and still finds a way to get a full scholarship based off a sport talent.

  21. NEWORLEANS_FINEST_CANDI

NOW DATS WAT IM TALKIN ABOUT………HOW U LOVE DAT! NAWLINS REPPIN HARD, AND MAMA AINT RAISE NO FOOL! THIS IS SUCH A BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT AND PROVES THAT EDUCATION IS TRULY THE KEY…..THIS LIL NI99A WAS BORN WITH A SILVER SPOON IN HIS MOUTH, BUT STILL IN ALL HE TAKES ON NEW CHALLENGES… MASTER P WAS SUPPOSED TO PLAY BASKETBALL, AND NOT BE A RAPPER, BUT HE INJURED HIS LEG DURING HIGH SCHOOL…..ITS NICE TO SEE HIS SON LIVIN OUT BOTH THEIR DREAMS!

  22. windwalker1313

He must be pretty good. NCAA , D-I level basketball is no joke.

  23. I’am soooo glad to hear this espically him being a young black male, because he couldve easily not even thought about school and kept rapping or making diss records about bow wow,, I wish him all the best and hope he stays FAR FAR FAR away from white girls at school!!!!!!!!

  24. pinklibradiva

CONGRATS TO ROMEO AND I HOPE HE GETS THAT DEGREE IN BIZ REGARDLESS IF HE GOES PRO OR NOT. EDUCATION IS THE KEY!

  25. mai03

Excellent! God Bless him and good luck to all his future endeavors!

  26. hiphoplover21

This is so great, I wish him the best of luck.

  27. iluvshoes

i honestly thing that he will do good, it seems like Master P is a good father and he teaches his son about the business and life in general. i dont think that he will fall for the “white girl” hoe down or the “black girl” groupie love.

  28. LOL

Congrats Romeo!! Its really is quite refreshing and exciting to see that Master P is instilling the importance of education in his son. Romeo could have easily learned biz from his dad, but is going for basketball and an education. I’m very proud of you! and I can only imagine the pride his parents feel.

    Sets a very good example..

BOW WOW GET YO SHIT TOGETHER!! STOP TRYIN TO BE HOOD….BC THE MILLERS ARE REAL HOOD AND THEY SEE THE VALUE OF LIFTING THEMSELVES UP OBVIOUSLY.

  29. LSU333

way to go romeo. Let’s see what Bow Wow can say about that!

  30. V to da A

For those who are wondering why Lil’ Romeo accepted the full scholarship… If you had several universities recruiting you, wouldn’t you go with the one offering you a full ride? Do you really expect him to be like, “I know you’re offering me free tuition, room and board, but naaah, I’d rather pay.” Ha! Yeah right! I’m sure they know he can afford it, but hell they must have really wanted him so they had to entice him with the sweetest deal. And I think he made the right choice!

  31. Coko

    Livin daddy’s dream…

  32. Ok…thats it…Romeo has beaten Bow Wow in my mind now. (Yes…probably lyrically also but who cares about that.)

    …but wait…this dude is 5’11?!?! Seriously?!

  33. yallarecrazy

good for him i heard he was a good b ball player but i didnt know he was that good lmao buti am glad he should prolly stick to that instead of music cause we all know…………… lets leave it @ that good 4 him though

  34. kaykay

yeah he must be pretty good at it i’m so happy so he can stop putting out that horrible music

  35. alittleextra

romeo is doing what it to. well good luck to him and i hope he is successful with that venture.

  36. That’s REALLY WHAT’S UP!!!!
ONE TIME FOR “ACADEMICS”…& I’m not talking the clothing line 4 u slow ones…
I wish him well on his first semester~
side note: Papa Miller’s probably gonna donate a guap to USC now!

  37. TEEisTHE1

I am happy for Romeo and I hope he sticks with it, and just because he has money doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get a scholarship, damn I mean if he earned it he earned it, I’m sure there are others athletes out there who have money, maybe not as much as Romeo, but who could have paid for college but got scholarships, we should not hold that against him. Just when someone is doing something positve there is always someone waiting to be negative.

  38. Yasmine

I wish him the best. That is a really good look.

  39. Don’t think it’s a game. Master P has to make sure Romeo knows that you always have to have a back up plan. You got to give it to him, P is a great entrepreneur. School is way more important than the rap game. Just because you came from the hood, that doesn’t mean you are obligated to stay there. Make something out of yourself.

And I think Romeo really may be that tall. Hell look at P, Silk and C. It’s in his genes.

Good luck to you Romeo! I love to see black males getting their education!

  40. Wisdom Body

whats really good is that he signed on his junior yr thats really wassup and why would u be surprised he is so tall look @ his dad and uncles. thtas why i respect P b/c he knew once he had kids he couldn’t be on that street stuff no more. he stepped up like a real man and made money so his kids kids kids could have bread.

  41. Aquanna

Whoever said you can’t have it all?

His life is already great…but now, you add school on top of that….and you get a BETTER life. A more accomplished life (not to say folk that ain’t in school ain’t accomplished). He can do both, and that’s what he’s doing. prolly gonna take a break from the show….

What will his major be? All athletes at my school majored in criminology….give me something different

  42. oatsuzn

Much props to this young man for going in this direction and getting a free education at a good school and he’s gonna have fun doing it. His family obviously values education instead of just having him do rap or tv. Shows young people that there’s more than rapping.

  43. Lady Elle

Congratulations to Romeo and his parents. I know they are proud of him and he is setting a great example for his siblings AND other black children in America. That’s wonderful. A positive role model for our young people. I wish Romeo the best of luck.

  44. million$smile

I agree w/ #6..I also think that Master P did a good job of raising him, he got his son back and is very supportive. I hope that he does not get caught up with the sluts at school..but im sure his dad will warn him.

I am happy to see him going to school..thats wonderful !

  45. aik aik

I have to laugh at all the people on here who are like…”Get dat education” and all that but can’t talk right themselves…

V to DA A , I totally agree. College is very expensive, so who would not take a full scholarship when being recruited to play ball? That’s why the rich stay rich….they are always looking for ways to keep their own money in their pockets. There are enough basketball scholarships to go around to needy ball players. Trust me.

Now I must say that I am very proud of this kid. He made alot of smart career moves from kiddie rap to Nickoloeon(sp?) which brought him a cross-over fan base to going to a top college on a full scholarship.

    Very good job Master P.

  49. Christina

He is actually good though. Even if he wasnt Master P’s son I still think he would have gotten a full b-ball scholarship to damn near anywhere he wanted to.

Its not like his rap career is doing too great now anyway so hell…why not? College helps you mature in a way that no where else could. I see the difference between me and my friends that did didnt go to college. I just hopes he attempts to live a normal college life as in actually doing his homework and living in a dorm for at least the first year.

  50. Santana

Don’t compare this kid to Bow Wow. If Bow Wow was any taller he’d play ball. We all know dude has skills on the court. Maybe Romeo does too. But Bow is doing his own things and Romeo is doing his no need to compare and contrast.

  51. Doesn't Romeo have money already?

Doesn’t Romeo already have millions in the bank? Why does he need a scholarship then? He should pay for his own tution and give the scholarship to someone who actually needs that money for school. All that talk about how much money you have and yet your taking a full scholarship?!? There’s someone who is probably very intelligent who wants to go to that school but can’t because they can’t afford it. I’m not hating on him, in fact I’m glad to see a “rapper” get post secondary education, I just don’t think he needs the scholarship. Good for him tho…

  52. Azzure`

this is sad how they take from the poor and give to the rich. But I mean — Romeo’s career is completely over and he’s doing nothing.. so school shouldnt be a surprise dude was running out of options.

  53. chacha123

    @ 18 Bored @ Work…

I totally agree. I am very happy that Master P has been very involved in his son’s life and has tried to ground him. No one can ever take away Romeo’s education but a rap or tv career can fizzle with a quickness.

Also, he is naturally gifted in athletics and I assume intellectually gifted as well so why shouldn’t he get a full ride to college. I just hope his dad warns him about the folly of college partying. Know when to study and when to have fun but not too much fun. ;)

    Go Romeo!

  54. M. Dove

WOW that is fabulous! Congrats Romeo!!

  55. Jaida

I don`t see what the big deal is. He hasn`t really achieved anything as far as his music career goes, so he might as well go to college. And with all that money his family has, they need to PAY for that education and give the full ride to another person who may be in need of financial assistance to go to school. There is nothing special about this.

And I find it funny how Bow was brought up once again. He just turned 20 and I`m sure he is set. He`s doing what he does and he`s been doing it for a long time. Check the numbers =)

  56. Candice

I am so shocked by the negative comments. I can only hope they are not coming from black people!

As well, how is this boy taking a scholarship from someone else? The school had to evaluate who should be offered one, I am pretty damn sure they know Romeo and his daddy are rich as hell. So THEY decided to give it to him and I don’t blame them for taking it.

Furthermore the scholarship is obviously from the Athletic department not a damn academic dept.

**SMH at coons looking to saying negative mess**

  57. CaliEsq

What impresses me is the fact that Romeo must have been at least decent in the classroom as well. Going to a tough school like Beverly Hills High, getting the grades, and getting the SAT score necessary to play at the D-1 level. I have many friends out here in Cali, who aren’t totally dumb, who didn’t get the SAt score to play ball, and had to start out at community college.

To all those that was saying last week that Master P was the broke rapper, guess again. If Romeo was balling at Beverly Hills High, they were alright.

Also, Romeo is good, but if he wasnt famous, he would have gone to a lesser school like San Diego State, Hofstra, Houston, South Florida, Western Michigan, Rutgers, etc.
