You can read the article at Time Out Chicago’s website. Michelle will make her debut in ‘The Color Purple’ tour on May 3rd, which kicks off in Chicago.

I saw her last night, she was in the club where I work in Chicago, and she is a whole lot smaller than I expected but nonetheless a beautiful woman.
She looks very pretty and i wish her much success
#31- Tasha…..WHAT!?!?!? She doesnt sing ‘Sistah”!?!?!? Boooooo@ whoever made that choice! I wonder if the NY version has Shug singing it? I hope so because I have tickets to see it!
#59-Moni…..Michelle is 28.
Is this a magazine or a BOOKLET? lmao
I’m so happy for her and the extra weight looks good on her.
Bump to 56 & 57. She looks gorgeous though and I hope she does well. Back to the early-DC days in the looks dept. Oh and they don’t sing Sista in the broadway version either(sad I know).
Kelly will turn out to be the Mary Wilson of the group. I think its only a metter of time before Kelly will wise up because no matter what she puts out, she’ll never be a top seller or semi top seller. She’s gonna look up one day and realize how much she has lost taking up residency in Beyonce’s ass and when that day comes, my black ass will be right there watching the exclusive interviews and readng that steamy tell-all book.
MICHELLE LOOKS WONDERFUL IM HAPPY SHE IS DOING THINGS IN BROADWAY.
Michelle really looks the way she did when she first joined DC ,Chelle never did fit in with DC she is a gospel singer and her first album won a grammy unlike kelly she’s probley glad the group split up .Chelle only joined DC to get discovered because she came from a small town, she gained her weight back, she looks very happy and being A gospel singer she do not have to trail behind B .
haha I’m Chicago representative yessur!!!,,you know what’ve never been a Michelle fan..we never into her voice but that girl so cool!..I loved her country accent that made her seem more down-to-earth..they never made her talk in DC but when she did she would make me laugh..because she kept it real..do ya thing Michelle..lol
MICHELLE, MICHELLE, MICHELLE, you know you better work that stage, THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE! Show the world the talent that I’ve seen from day 1!
is she that good, i need a people’s opinion
I posted this on another board:
I went to see the Chicago broadway version of the Color Purple and it is FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Considering this is the version with Destiny Child’s Michelle Williams as Shug and American Idol’s Latoya London as Nettie, I was pleasantly surprised how good they are!!!!!!!!! BUT Michelle – LAWD HOW MERCY – she looked soooooooooo skinny and frail!!!!!! The part where they are in the juke joint whooping it up, Michelle, po child was shaking nothing but bones! It was hilarious and cute cuz she has no booty. They both can sing but Michelle’s acting stood out more than her singing! That girl is a better actress than that other DC girl. Michelle is actually gorgeous funny woman and she can go far and leave te Knowles fam alone. That girl is talented than I thought. Latoya was awesome as Nettie. She is so cute and very tiny and short. She definitely gave the lead members a run for their money in the singing dept. And that girl’s teeth are so perfect. Yes, I was that close! My fav character was Sophia played by Felicia Fields. She was a hoot!!! I perked up everytime she and the guy who played Harpo came on stage. Harpo and I kept exchanging looks whenever he came in front of me and during the curtain call when they all lined up. I was staring down all the fine bros, expecially Harpo and Mista! Those two are a trip and had me nervous.
The play is worth every penny and I had sat first row center!!!!!!! Talk about exchanging looks and smiles with the fine azz men cast members close up from the stage!!!!!! My least fav cast member was the Celie character played by an actress/singer I’m not too familiar with. She can sing her booty off (which by the way we got to see Michelle Williams naked booty in the bath tub scene when Celie helps her clean herself up) but the Chicago version of Celie is – how can I say – she’s mildly “touch” talking like a mentally challenged female Steppit Fetchit. It was so unnerving. I was glad when she started singing her parts instead of talking.
I will be singing, “Hell No!” and “Push the Button” all week. I’m too cheap to buy the CD. Go see it if you can!!!
I wished I could’ve stayed and met the cast, but only VIP’s and radio winners could do that.
Next month I’m going to New York to see the NY version of the Color Purple starring Fantasia as Celie. I know she will drop kick the Celie roll right out the theater with her singing.
Chamillionaire with a wig.
she looks gorgeous congrats!!!
Here’s a video of Michelle sangin!!

she looks nice and i hope she does well
Yeah, that is good that Michelle is advancing her career.
I mean, the fact that she even got the opportunity to be a member of Destiny’s Child was a blessing for her in the first place.
Even so, I think that she’ll be fine. She’s been doing theater and she owns a female basketball team in Chicago.
So, she knows how to work her money and her talents.
And she seems to know that just because you are not super famous or hounded by the media every 5 seconds, doesn’t mean that you are not a successful artist.
#75 is stoopid….talking bout Chamillionaire wit a wig. LMAO!!! She kinda does look like him.
@33 I’m with you my car only takes premium gas and cost me 60 to fill up!
Chelle doing it big…
Michelle was o gracious me and my girl after the last show in Chicago last night, you can’t help but to love her. All of the cast left on stage that night. I said to her that she catered to us with that performance. The lead was the entire bomb and nothing but the bomb. She brought tears to the eyes of several in the audience. I’ll fly to this cast again!
