Looks like pop singer Des’ree is winning the war in this whole stolen song fiasco. Some of you might remember that
“Who Sang It Better” post we made a few weeks ago featuring Des’ree and Beyonce singing the same song, ‘I’m Kissing You’. Word is Des’ree did not give Be and her crew permission to use her song on the deluxe album - but Beyonce said fuck it and used it anyway. And to add insult to injury, she even made a video for the song.
Well yesterday Columbia Records temporarily stopped distribution of the album, while they wait for a preliminary injunction hearing set for May 4th. $150,000 (the amount Des’ree is suing for) is chump change, she should have went for the millions!

Here are more photos featured in the latest issue of OK! Magazine with Melanie Brown on the cover with her new baby, Angel. The interview with the pictures is actually pretty interesting, as Melanie is 100% positive that Eddie is the father of her baby. She even goes as far as comparing her newborn’s features to the alleged father:
I look at the baby and she has his big smile and dimples. She’s gorgeous, she has taken the best bits of both of us…
We had talked about having a family and getting married. We started talking about whether we should buy a house together, where we could be alone together.
Say word?

A great buzz was generated before this rapper released his album, so much so, that he purchased numerous luxury items (including bling) on credit, anticipating a huge cash flow. Although the album had strong sales it’s first week, it fell off the charts within the next few weeks due to illegal downloading.
Now, this rapper is in debt with jewelers, casinos and creditors. It’s doubtful that he can recover because he alienates the people who can help him: Promoters, agents and the fans who buy his music. It seems as if he has an intense hatred for his fans, he’s been in numerous unreported altercations with fans who simply ask for his autograph. He or his bodyguard-either curse out fans, push them aside roughly or threaten them with their lives.
NOTE: All blind items are written by Myra Panache or her staff. No, I do not know what the answer is, after all it is called a Blind Item. Please contact Myra if you have any questions. Thank you.

Brian posted this “new” Sisqo song last November and I finally got my hands on the video. We may be a little late with this one, but that is always better than never. Word is, Sisqó is currently working independently and finished his third solo album, titled Last Dragon (to complete the trilogy), and it is set for release this Summer.
Don’t act like you weren’t bumping “Unleash The Dragon” like no tomorrow back in ‘99!!

Snoop Dogg has offered to appear on Oprah Winfrey’s TV talk show to debate the use of racist and sexist lyrics in rap music. Last week, the hip-hop star’s name was mentioned on The Oprah Winfrey Show in a discussion about the lyrical content of rap albums and the effects such music is having on children.
But despite Winfrey’s opposition to graphic rap lyrics, Snoop Dogg - real name Calvin Broadus - wants to sit down and talk with her on her show. He tells MTV, “I’m a fan of Oprah. I feel like whatever they’re saying about me, negative or positive, I appreciate it. [READ MORE]
YOU’RE NOT SORRY, YOU’RE JUST SORRY YOU GOT CAUGHT!!

Just in case you missed the updated post on that whole Akon / 14 year-old scandal - here is the latest:
Deena Alleyne says she is sorry for her raunchy dancing with Senegal-born US artiste Akon at the Zen nightclub on Thursday.
A video clip of the act was posted on the YouTube-Broadcast Yourself website but later pulled after a notification to YouTube by Universal Music Group.
“This whole hip hop thing is a guise and I don’t want any part of it, I don’t want to be any part of it,” said Alleyne during an interview at Chaguanas yesterday.
“Look at what I have to go through with one mistake that I made. My dad warned me every time and I didn’t listen. I am sorry. [SOURCE]
