At first, when all this stuff first came out, i was ignorant enough to say and think, “well older men seek out young girls all the time” (16 yr olds example) But R. Kelly has some issues. When he was younger he was molested by someone in his neighborhood which contributes alot to him being as sick as he is now. I’m so disgusted by the whole thing. Not just at what he has done and is probably still doing but that ppl (some) act like he hasn’t done anything wrong.

Whether or not those girls are fast or not is irrelevant. Whether or not he knew there age or not is irrelevant. Whether or not his brother is lying is irrelevant. Whether his brother is jealous or a crack head is irrelevant. We all have seen the tapes and we all know what he is capable of. He is a prime example of why i’m so nervous now to let my little daughter out of my sight and why i’m picky about who she is around bc ppl are sick. This man needs to be behind bars.

Wrong is wrong and molestation is molestation. I really wonder if ppl would be more upset if the girl wasn’t 14 but she was like 7 or 8 or hell a baby? And yes there are sickos that molest babies. And you know what, if R. Kelly doesn’t go to jail over this he will get his in due time. If not by karma on judgement day.

The reason why people are still collaborating with R. Kelly is because he’s one of the best in his field and they are able to separate business from his personal demons. If we all went around making financial decisions based on our morals, we’d all fuckin starve! Real Talk. Shoot, a lot of people work for dishonest companies, very large well known so to speak “reputable” companies, who have alot of dishonesty, shiesty, business dealings, some are moral rights and wrongs, and have hurt alot of people, but i’ll bet they still the first in line every Friday to get their check from that dishonest company because business is business.

I could see if the question why is people still hanging out and partying with him, but the music, that’s just business, and i don’t blame them one bit. They want a r&b hit or rap collabo, R. Kelly is the one to go to. And i haven’t lost one ounce of respect for those who choose to be involved with him musically; it’s business, and let God take care of the personal.

Ms. Fabolous, in your latter post, all the things that you seem to think are irrelevant, i totally disagree with. Those things are definitely relevant. They speak to causation, and you can’t discredit that. In elementary school, i was taught, to everything, theres a (w)ho; (w)hat; (w)here, and how; and its only when you get all these elements together are you looking at the whole picture.

While i think any man who deliberately target young girls have issues, please let’s not act as if this is exclusive to R. Kelly. There are probably plenty of people on this blog that have had a uncle, brother, father, or other male relative holla at a young teenage girl, i know i had older men on me when i was just 14, and i looked much younger than that! However, if this has been going on for years (according to his brother and some posters here), why has nothing been done prior to the incident in which he is up on charges for?
