In most states almost any woman can claim a man to be the “father” of her child. And, even if a man questions the paternity but still provides for that child as if it’s his (by playing an active role in it’s life or publicly claiming it’s his even if it isn’t), he can be FORCED to pay child support until the child is 18 (or 21). This is despite the fact that real father is proven to be someone else. Ain’t that some sh!t?!

So until a paternity test has taken place and confirmed Eddie is the daddy we will never know, unless you ask Myra Panache hell she knows everything!

Furthermore, depending on the state (Florida being one of them) a judge can rule that a husband who is NOT the father of a child can be deemed the “parent” by fact of marriage, even when the husband and wife are seperated. Their are plenty of case law on the books to support this. In family law NOTHING is that cut and dry. Check facts before jumping on bandwagons people.

#24, just to clarify… you can name anyone you want on a birth certificate, in order for you to give the child the man’s last name if you’re unmarried you need to have the father there to sign and notorize that he wishes to give the last name. so you don’t need them to be there to put there name to the birth certificate.
