First off, do any of you even watch this show? Alot of black students have their opposed feelings towards BET’s raunchy reality show, but at the end of the day, it serves as entertainment while doing homework. Beats ‘The Real World’ anyway…
The fourth season of College Hill in the University of the Virgin Islands premiered last month and this season seems to be much crazier than the previous seasons (though I never really seen them). Last night’s episode however, was probably the craziest of the season with a very heated and literally bloody catfight between two of the roommates.
If you thought the show was a disgrace, then I don’t know what you may say now…
I was just in shock when I saw girl’s face afterwards. Like my girl Lakisha was singing last night on “American Idol” – JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL!
Next week’s episode will determine who gets kicked out, and how chick’s face ended up like that.

RATINGS! Clearly this is what bet wanted to happen. Its working well for the show as this event now has me looking to watch next week to see what happen to that cute girls face

damn, I was hoping that Vanessa was going to teach crystal a lesson. They are too grown to be fighting, but crystal is manipulative, and conniving,(well at least that is the way they portray her on tv). I could have sworn that Vanessa was going to cut her ass.
There is only so much one can take and when people are being down right disrespectful to you, one gets pushed to their limit and does what ever comes first to their mind. I myself am a born American with Caribbean heritage, so i understand how it feels when to try to explain to ignorant Americans that American culture is not the be all and end all. Yes the fight was unnecessary and childish but i see what the VI kids are fighting for. There is so much more to experience out there and knocking something before you even try it is just ignorant.And this is the main problem on the show, the American kids always got something to say about the culture with out even trying to experience it. Home girl Sasha is perfect example of this American ignorance, calling Vanessa Jamaican when she clearly isn’t was dumb, and FYI the Caribbean is made up of over 25 countries, get to know them before saying something idiotic like that again. Read a book or Google something just expand your mind.

As far as the show goes, it was always a disgrace, but this season has been the worst reflection on black culture yet. Atleast on the real world there’s 1 or two black people, so if they act buck it’s not that big of a deal.
However, CH just throws a bunch of the worst personalities together to get this. The producers want this BS to happen to make “good TV”. It’s doesn’t bother me THAT much, but I can’t help to think how this is shaping the young cats out there in middle and high school still (I’m 21)…

When I first heard of this show i thought it was gonna be an unique look at the black college experience. I didn’t know it was the just the Real World with all black people. When will BET ever get some ORGINAL programing. Never watched this show and I’ll keep it that way.

Krystal ALWAYS starts things with the island crew on the show and she ALWAYS has something negative to say….the night of the fight, they all went to see one of the island dudes volleyball game, after the game the island crew wanted to take out the others to a “stomp” so they can experience what the island kids enjoy doing….Krystal and Fallon were VERY negative, they were calling it stupid and all kind of other stuff…there was already tension in the house between both groups…JT was wrong for his comment but you can clearly see Vanessa was trynna break it up…Krystal popped off at the mouth and thats when she ran up on her….Krystal did have a shoe in her hand, thats how Vanessa got the bloody face….but as much as Krystal disrespected their culture, she deserved it…….I’m of island descent and I felt as though they should’ve embraced the culture a little better instead of always acting negative towards everything….Krystal NEVER wanted to do anything besides run her damn mouth….

I watched this last night and the only thing it shows his how ignorant Americans are to other people’s cultures. The Cali kids have made no effort to get to know or learn the culture of the VI kids except to bitch and complain that there are no malls or starbucks (wtf!!!)

I know that fighting is never a solution to a problem, but I can understand how they got to that point. As a person from the V.I. watching the show, hearing the comments made about the life style or culture of the islands being talked about in a negative way from some of the cast members did offend me, and I wasn’t even in the house with them. So I can see how those who had to live with them and hear it on a constant basis would get extremely angry about it. I feel like the “CALI” kids have been making fun of and talking disrespectably about my culture and way of life, rather then taking that experience, learning about it and giving it a chance to try to understand it. All I see on each episode is someone complaining about it. They are young kids, enjoy the experience while you have it and learn about something different rather then complain about the differences.
