As far as Africans and dark skinned islanders not liking brown skinned Americans, I think that has to do with the attitudes of the dark Americans, not so much the African and Island women. I have been to the Caribbean countless times and I have more pleasurable encounters there than I do with the brown women here. They are both owned and operated by the same company that owns most other TV reality shows, like the super coonastic Flavor and Love series. But you can’t blame the networks alone, these young people [and their parents] have some personal accountability - they don’t have to participate.

I am really disappointed by this video. I have never been a fan of any shows that are on BET. College Hill is no exception and I see now why I haven’t been watching. This was disturbing for me to watch and know that so many people saw black people portrayed in this light. Seriously, as an African Canadian of West Indian/Caribbean heritage I have to let you all know Black Americans have to be some of the most ignorant ppl ever, sometimes it can be like talking to white ppl. you see it with the Cali kids, you can read it in the ish some ppl posted up on here, Krystal deserved a good punch in the mouth, Just b/c Vanessa had blood on her face doesn’t mean she lost the fight, she could throw down and I am sure if we got a look at the tape on the cutting room flr we would see her land some serious punches. Loves it. Seriously. maybe this will teach African-Americans to be more tolerant of other black ppl (seriously Continential Africans arent jealous of you, they are more ashamed of African-Americans than jealous of them, and neither are the African-Americans of Caribbean descent) we are all black and when we stop separating ourselves with all these text book terms and geography the world will be a much better place.
