I can’t front, I’m fond of Eve’s new single. I knew with all these guest appearances, Eve was about to come back to music. But she’s no longer with Ruff Ryders, Eve is back on Aftermath with Dr. Dre. I’m eager to see what this album with consist of. “Tambourine,” the new single, is produced by none other than Swizz Beats. It’s been a good year for him.

This is some new material from Brooke that I was sent via e-mail. I don’t have any idea what’s going on with her project – it’s been in the works for some time now. Remember, the first single, “Dope Boy” that she came out with forever ago? Well, apparently this new material is from that same album – and I posted that song when I first started working for CL. I don’t know whether it’s her or the label. Either way, “Show Stopper” is nothing to go wild over.

I’ve posted this remix before, and it was pretty much a long time ago. However, this is the CD quality. I was kind of tired listening to the low quality version so I’m posting it pretty much for people who are interested in having the HQ version of this song. Honestly, this is one of my favorite remixes, I still listen to it all the time.

Not sure how I feel about this song. I will be completely honest, I hated “Like This” (the original version) at first, but it definitely has grown on me. However, this remix does not improve upon the song. And you know how I feel about that. I have a feeling that this isn’t going to grow on me, either. I’m gonna have to stick to the original.
The original “Like This” is my jam! I knew Kelly could “bump” but Beyonce wouldn’t sit her azz down somewhere! LMAO!

The “Tambourine” song cuts off inbetween Eve’s verses(sample?) Anyway I’m so gald Eve is back, I was getting worried, so excited about her new project!
I just hope the new artists that come out bring it. The music this year its not hitting the spot for me. Still waiting for Avriel and Drake to hit the scene. My views on the tracks though:

Eve’s track just proves why she is the best female MC in the biz. This track will put Eve back on top where she belongs, and I hope the whole CD is full of hot dance tracks like this. Getting back with Dre was probably the best move Eve could have made.

Everybody step aside. Eve’s new song is the only trak that will make it out the gate. The beat and hook are off the hook but Eve could do much better lyrically (said for the 100th time). After hearing this song a few times, I want to get on the dance floor and shake my tambourine!

Brooke Valentine is my favorite singer. So I love that song a lot. That song along with another “Tempting” were both released on her MySpace page for 2 days on Feb. 14 of this year just for Valentine’s Day and were taken down. Both of the songs will appear on her upcoming album Physical Education. The album is also rumoured to come out this Spring, but a single was supposed to come out in March, but that did not come as well. So you never know. Her voice has improved a lot.
