Sorry for the lack of updates, guys… it’s been a while. I’ve been having some computer and internet trouble, and have missed out on posting a lot of good (and bad) music. I hope everything’s been alright with you guys. Hopefully all is worked out now.

Ciara feat. Will.I.Am – Do It (full) – download
I’m assuming that this is an outtake from “The Evolution.” Again, like it’s other bonus tracks, I can definitely see why this was left off the album. Ciara is so good for the sing-talk, but I guess it works for her. “Do It” is produced by Will.I.Am and it sounds pretty much like all the other materials he produced on her album, Black Eyed Peas’ album and the tracks on Kelis’s album. From all the unreleased material I’ve heard from “Evolution,” I think Ciara did a pretty good job making track cuts.

Rico Love – Boy, Stop! (full) – download
If you haven’t heard of Rico Love, he’s one of Usher’s artists, on Usher’s Atlanta-based Us Records. If you’ve been visiting CL for a while, you’ve probably heard some track he’s been featured on. As much of his other material, “Boy, Stop” is produced by the Corner Boyz, whose production are all starting to run together for me. If it doesn’t sound like something else they’ve done, it sounds like someone else’s production.

Beyonce feat. Young Buck – Green Light (Remix) (full) – download
Since “Green Light” was one of my favorite songs from Beyonce’s “B’Day,” I was amped to see a remix – and was hoping that the production was changed up. And it most certainly was. I like this more hip-hop influenced “Green Light.” The production gives me an old school feel, and although it doesn’t really obviously fit well with the overall tone of the song, there’s something funky about it. I could do without Young Buck’s verse, but it’s cool.

Bobby Valentino – Candy Girl (full) – download
There’s no telling how many times this song concept has been done. Produced by Tim & Bob (who produced the vast majority of Bobby Valentino’s first album), “Candy Girl” is just an extended metaphor, comparing and contrasting a girl to sweets and assorted candies. I am pretty much over the lot of the material on “Special Occassion.” I thought that perhaps Bobby’d stepped his game up after hearing “Anonymous” (written by The Clutch, produced by Timblanad), but the rest of the material just seems to stay all in one place.
