The boy’s first two singles are about nothing but sex! That’s really commercial. I haven’t liked any of his songs, because there is no substance. I’m bored w/ this mess.

I am hearing alot on the board.. some one said Sterling needs a modern sound.. hmm well most of the modern stuff today sound like .. CRAP.. nothing wrong with the 80′s vibe.. it is a compliment to sound like Michael and prince..(every artist has an influence and every artist remind you of another artist) So what’s the big deal with it.. if you were still pooping in your diapers and getting potty trained in the 80′s get to know your music history and learn good music…
The reason it sounds like Ne-yo’S Because of you is because it was produced by the same production team “Stargate” they did alot of Ne-yo’s new album as well as “Irreplaceable”, “unfaithful” etc… They are purposely going after Michael’s sound. Listen to “Get on the Floor” and “Working day and night” from “Off the wall”. Michael was produced by a white guy named Rod Temperton (who (ghost produced) for Quincy Jones). The lyrics were kind of uninspired. but as others have said it was nice to hear a live bass and a simple funky groove. Instead of Little John synths and snap music…. And by the way, Ne-yo’s lead vocals may not be the best, (I always thought he sounded like Ginuwine) NO ONE CAN FUCK WITH HIM ON HIS BACKGROUND VOCALS AND HARMNONY PARTS.. And that what’s missing from 95 % of the singers today . Sterling included. C +
