The 2007 BET Awards are on the way…
T.I, 50 Cent, Robin Thicke, and Tichina Arnold were at hand yesterday to announce the 2007 nominees. This year’s host will be Mo’Nique and the show air June 26th at the Shrine Auditorium in California as usual. No word on the full list of performers that will include 50 Cent and T.I – but, we can expect more names to be announced in the weeks to come.
Diana Ross will be honored with BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award and actor Don Cheadle will be given the Humanitarian Award for his efforts at ending genocide in Darfur. Check out the list of nominations after the cut…

Well I was looking forward to the BET Awards but I was highly upset to see the nod’s not to knock that Beyonce’ but she dont need to be in every catagory. Not to be real bias but Janet should have at least been in the nod’s her album wasn’t a complete flop. Her album was good. Honestly BET is slipping….that Top 25 Dancer Countdown put the final nail in the coffin. There are sooooo many ppl I think should have been nominated.
That’s the one thing I can’t stand about the BET Awards. They nominate anybody. How is Beyonce up there for “Upgrade U” and “Beautiful Liar” and the videos haven’t even been out for two whole months? The same goes for Ne-Yo. And someone tell me, why isn’t Robin Thicke nominated for “Lost Without You” for Video of the Year? God knows they played the song all day, everyday. He needs to go up there for Album of the Year, as well.
