The finale of American Idol aired last night and the outcome showed 17 yr. old Jordin Sparks from Arizona as this year’s Idol. Guests on the finale included past AI contestants Jennifer Hudson, Paris Bennett, and Ruben Studdard.
Other guests included Ananda Lewis, and performers Gladys Knight, Bebe & Cece Winans, Doug E. Fresh, and Smokey Robinson. Jordin’s first single is available exclusively on AOL Music.

Oh great. Just what we need: bring anotha light-skinned, long-haired chick in the music game.
JORDIN’S WHITE AZZ! The white people voted for her because she has a white momma…Melinda could’ve won if she wasn’t a darkie.
Why they have that picture of Big Bird up there. That damn near 50 year old woman is so friggin wrong. She should really be ashamed of herself. Fucking American Idol making spectacles out of us, and damn her for giving them the ammo. Am I the only one that booked when she kissed Ryan Seacrest he looked like he wanted to vomit in his mouth?
I’m not trying to imply nothing, cause like someone else said, I really haven’t watched Idol since Fantasia…and was really digusted when Bo Bison lost a season or two ago..Ya’ll think this Sparks chick really deserved to win…or did they need a “Latino” winner this time?…I don’t know.
Anyway..CeCe and Be Be are wonderful.
KHINJE…Paris gets on my nerves with her false ripe self. I use to like her at first, but the more her personality came out the less I cared for her.
COUTURE…Jordin sucks IMO. I think America made the wrong choice. What teenager wants to hear her sing slow songs all day? They are going to regret voting for her. She can’t sing an up beat tune to save her life. She is going to flop. I think her voice needs a lot of work. Her vibrato is down right frightening and that little Walt Disney cutesy thing that she does is extremely annoying and phony. She was a model for goodness sakes. She knows how to smile on queue. She is well aware of the camera at all times. She was home-schooled for a year to prepare for this show. The judges/producers already know about her before she auditioned (she was Arizona Idol or something like that). This show is way too scripted for my taste.
Jennifer can’t dress to save her life. She always looks inappropriate(tata’s hanging out)or old as seen above.
1.saw the show and i liked it but it wasnt as exciting as the last couple of seasons
2. Jordan needs and excellent publicist the chick was terrible on Jay Leno last night…. the hand movements while she answered ?tions and this annoying head and neck bob w/ squint CUT IT OUT LOV and her public speaking was UPSETTING to say the least. But HEY she is 17yrs of age! She’ll grow up
3. her singin was okay Blake was wack I dont call his style of singing originality. The beat boxing was pathetic
4. the bush baby joke was funny but they were dead wrong when they sponsored a bush baby from a ZOO to one of the award winners for best friends
5. Gladys was excellent … Ruben ehhhh Kelly i love her new style of music it was more ROCK! the first song she sang i loved.
6. the lady with the yellow feathers on her body ..made a complete fool out of herself .. why couldnt she be white..
7. Bebe and Cece’s performace was alright didnt hear to much of Melinda.. she always looks lost!
8. Someone needs to teach Paula that snapping your fingers to gospel music is a no no! Atleast she wasnt in a church doing that.

Gosh Im late. I never really watched it. I guess cause it got a lil boring. But I liked Kelly, Fantasia, Rueben and Carrie. Everyone else. so so.
Ummmmm……Beyonce’s career= dead on arrival!
I’m glad Jordin won because she has a very beautiful voice.
Now with that other stuff, blacks are not “mixed” like bi-racial. Most of us have been mixed in with different backgrounds but we’re black. People like Halle Berry and Rihanna are equally black and white, Yes Rihanna is half white her father is white bajan, of Irish decent. But of course if someone is both black and white and light skinned and “talks” or “acts” black, our people are quick to refer to them as just black. Those celebs don’t really say anything about it because they wanna feel accepted. There’s nothing wrong with being 2 different races, we’re all different, but ya’ll on here need to stop getting defensive when people feel that many of our people claim one as being just black when he/she is not.
I really wanted Melinda to win. She had such a beautiful voice. I’m glad beat boxing Blake didn’t win. Jennifer Hudson looks soo pretty. Everyone looks nice. Yeah we all know Sanjaya is the real American Idol because he will most likely grab more fame than any of the contestants whether you like him or not. Yes I will admit I’m a big fanjaya fan! Go Sanjaya and do ya thang!
