Fantasia is one of the most real people in the business right now. She is a regular person that took a chance on national tv and sang her way to success. She wasn’t raised to be a star so she isn’t a prima donna and doesn’t have to wear pounds of weave and layers of makeup just to go around the corner. She is just trying to make honest money to take care of her family. She has a great voice and isn’t caught up in all the drama like the rest of these non-singing booty shaking people called entertainers these days.
I agree with whoever said that Tasia needs clear braces. I mean is she aware that they exist. I can’t stand to see grown folks with metal braces. And when you are famous, that’s even worse.

In regards to the “Fanatasia is so ugly” comments….they are opinions. But, I will say that they are rooted in the same evil spirit that Imus’s NHH comments were rooted in. This is why we as black people/women have hard time fighting for the respect we deserve. We are still so stuck in the white ideology of what is considered cute, pretty or beautiful. Looking at Fantasia and Christine I see them as both as cute. They are just different looking but you can come to the same conclusion– they are naturally cute girls. What makes Fantasia less of a woman than the others??
This is why black woman are easily downgraded by other races…we have no “real” love for ourselves so how can we be expect others to follow suit.
If a brown-skin woman has too ethnic of features she is immediately relegated (usually by other brown-skin black women) into the ugly category. For example, Sanaaa, Nia and Gabby. They are all brown-skin, but they have enough European features to make the insecure comfortable therefore they are instantly thought of as beautiful even if they are dressed just like Fantasia.
