Being from a Caribbean island, we all know it is not easy to make it as a R&B artist in mainstream America. You’ve done it, you should be proud. What is the first road you would advise a young caribbean singer to take? I know you could say “be persistent” or “have faith” but I mean what proactive thing could a young caribbean singer to do help launch their own career? Also, Heather Headly from Trinidad and Sean Paul from Jamaica have also “made it”, do you see yourself collaborating with them to promote the untapped r&b and hip-hop talent in the Caribbean.
