Even though Kelly Rowland’s album is being pushed back further than Jermaine Dupri’s hairline, it doesn’t mean she still can’t look fab at an event. The singer performed at the 2007 Fashion Cares concert held in Canada over the weekend. Our girl Mya also hit up the stage.

My favorite is the black one. Something about that purple one screams leftover prom dress to me. Mya is beautiful as usual, but her hair in that first pic is a lil too Winehouse for me.

Fashion Cares is a really great cause that happens every year to raise money for finding cures for HIV & AIDS…i’m rooting for both Mya and Kelly’s new album to do better than any of their previous endeavours…unfortunately, i’m not sure if that’s gonna actually happen, seeing as how both of their lead singles have had a lukewarm reception at best from the public…it’s funny how they are both in the same boat, as both have had their albums pushed back more than a year…

Poor Kelly! I really do like DC3 but Kelly just doesnt have STAR written on her anywhere. Kelly’s a beautiful girl–great skin, a cute body, and a beautiful spirit. I just wish she’d believe in herself a little more. I like all 3 dresses, especially the yellow one. The purple dress is a bit too busy at the top for me. As someone else said, I think Kelly is talented, but she just doesn’t have that superstar quality. She did good in the group setting, but having to carry all the weight just doesn’t seem to be for her. I honestly think Kelly would be content if she never had another huge record. She’s alway struck me as the type who wants to be married and have some babies.

I’m just keeping it 100. I like Kelly and I think she has a beautiful personality. You are right because she is a very beautiful girl but she just doesn’t have that UUNNF about her. I mean it literally when I say UUNNF. I dont see confidence in Kelly at times and it goes beyond her not being the lead singer. You can call me a HATA if you feel but I have always felt that about her. Personally I would love to see Kelly dominate the charts but her success as a solo artist is going to be limited for a number of reasons. Kelly and Beyonce’ styles are soo much similar and it is understandable because they have been under the same fashion person since they were kids. Kelly just doesnt offer anything original or different. I’m not even saying that Beyonce’ does but she just has that overrall appeal that society clings too. Like the long weave, lighter complexion, overdone make-up, high heels all of the time, and I can go on and on and on. I dont even want to sound like I’m bashing B because she has came in the game and dominated.
Now as for Mya——- NEXT!!! I think Mya is cute and she can dance but her vocal abilities are limited. I’m looking for the next chic that is going to give Beyonce a run for her money and I personally dont think that it is going to be Kelly or Mya.
