Even though Kelly Rowland’s album is being pushed back further than Jermaine Dupri’s hairline, it doesn’t mean she still can’t look fab at an event. The singer performed at the 2007 Fashion Cares concert held in Canada over the weekend. Our girl Mya also hit up the stage.

@KAM. I totally agree. The only person that might come close to giving Beyonce a run for her money is Nicole from the Pussy Cat Dolls. I think she’ll be a big hit when she releases her solo album. She seems to have that “IT” factor about her, as well as the dancing and vocal chops to be successful.
As much as I root for Kelly, I really do feel like she’s just content being a former member of DC, and that that is enough for her. I don’t know if she wants to make history as a solo star. I mean, Beyonce grinds when she has an album coming out, and I hate to keep comparing the two, but it’s unavoidable. I realize that there’s only room for one HUGE megastar at a time, as number 61, Pookie, said, but Kelly, IMO, isn’t even on Rhianna’s level as far as exposure and sales in the USA, and that is ridiculous! Kelly has a much better voice and moves better. Sometimes, I think she tries to do the wrong type music though. I don’t know if she should necessarily keep the same type of sound that DC had. I honestly think she might do better as a Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston type sound. I don’t know. There’s just something very boring about her, and it seems like it’s not supposed to be that way, because she seemed to have a lot of personality in attitude in DC.

As of May 15, 2007 it has been reported that the album has been pushed back to July 3rd 2007. According to reports, the delay was made to avoid debuting on the same date as 50 Cent’s upcoming album ‘Curtis.’

Mya’s debut album was self titled, Mya, not Fear of Flying. Fear if Flying was her sophomore effort, and Mood Ring was her 3rd. I actually liked the first 2. I didn’t buy Mood Ring, but I did listen on the net, and I didn’t like it.

I say the yellow. It looks fun, flirty- like she’s not trying too hard. The purple definitely looks like it’s not “effortless” (like any of her looks are effortless anyway). And, the black looks too constricting.

To my black people, Mya is very sexy to me, and don’t you forget it! Kelly gets equal props, but I guess that I am one of the few that can see the fire and ambition that Mya has. Also, I would challenge all of you to see both of these talented people for more than just the color of their skin complexion, because I have read previous posts and other websites of how some of us really feel about light, yellow, or redbone blacks (with Mya in particular).
