This month, Megan Good covers the newest issue of Jewel Magazine. In an article entitled, “The Good Life” the actress speaks on that Jamie Foxx incident (yet again) and how she is sick of getting stuck with those “pretty girlfriend” roles. We are sick of them too girl! Here is a snippet:
When it comes to the Hollywood Shuffle, Good has done the dance more times than she cares to remember, but she longs to try out some new steps when it comes to her career. She wants to stretch her range far beyond the “hot Black chick” roles she’s specialized in thus far. “I get tired of being the love interest,” she says. “I want a chance at a role with substance. I want to push myself as an actor.” Her dad agrees. “She has so much more to offer than just being ‘the pretty girlfriend,’” he says. “I hope she gets a big break to show everyone her true talent.”

Yeh I remembr Meghan frm Cousin Skeet on Nick bk in the day fasho. I did enjoy her in Eve’s Bayou and really wish she would break through in a role. The pics are really classy, but I’ve never heard of Jewel magazine..maybe I’ll try to look for it.

But I remember Meagn as the little girl in the baseball hat in “Friday”standing at the ice cream truck…her line was “I hate him”!(referring to “Big Worm”) She still looks the same,but more mature………

She is indeed very pretty. She just needs a better agent or management team to get her better gigs. I am soooo pleased to see her looking classier. Usually she has that “stank hood chic” look. I am elated to see her w/o those HUGE hood bambo “Meagan” earrings. I see she wont let go of those ‘LA-china’eyebrows but they seem to work for her so I still give her a thumbs up!

Like everybody else I think the pics are nice. But as far as getting substantial roles that won’t happen. She’s not cut out for acting.

I like homegirl, she got something about her. Over these past last couple of months, i been gettin into independent films (yes, datdude is getting cultured), and Meagan was in a movie called Brick, the movie was weird, but she did a good job wit her small supporting role, i just liked the fact a black female was doing a different kind of role.
Ya’ll realize in Hollywood right now there are less than ten popular young black actors. Help me out, name some if u can.

YOU ASS they type cast people in movies. Like if 50 cent wanted to play in a movie it could be gangsta bcuz he played a gangsta before. Just like Snoop Dogg. She said she wants to get OUT of the pretty girl roles. She can’t if they keep casting her for it.

Eve’s Bayou is one of my favorite movies of ALL TIME, she has grown into her teeth since then. LOL

I said this a while back that Megan has stepped her game wayyyy up. The girl can really act. I really seen her growth in the movie she played in with Tyrese, the girl is really good, and i wish they will give her roles with more substances because i totally think she can handle it with no prob. I think she can be really huge in the acting arena. Big ups Megan for the cover.
