This month, Megan Good covers the newest issue of Jewel Magazine. In an article entitled, “The Good Life” the actress speaks on that Jamie Foxx incident (yet again) and how she is sick of getting stuck with those “pretty girlfriend” roles. We are sick of them too girl! Here is a snippet:
When it comes to the Hollywood Shuffle, Good has done the dance more times than she cares to remember, but she longs to try out some new steps when it comes to her career. She wants to stretch her range far beyond the “hot Black chick” roles she’s specialized in thus far. “I get tired of being the love interest,” she says. “I want a chance at a role with substance. I want to push myself as an actor.” Her dad agrees. “She has so much more to offer than just being ‘the pretty girlfriend,’” he says. “I hope she gets a big break to show everyone her true talent.”

I really could care less for Megan Goode. I think she’s a bad actress and not as attractive as other people think but I’m glad she looks classy in these photos. Nice and covered. She doesn’t look fierce though, just a girl who took nice photos. But I will say, she only gets the ghetto pretty girl roles because her acting is limited and she is a light skinned young girl who is decent looking, so…

Starberry. B.A.P.S. was towards the beginning of her career. I bet your bottom dollar she wouldn’t take another role like that. Those women take risks. And even if they play the same type of roles repeatedly, they SELL it. They make it believable. That’s part of my point. Bad movies dont always equal bad actors/actresses. Sometimes the stories/scripts just suck.
Meagan is so stale with hers.

I did see Megan do her thing in Eve’s Bayou, she was good! I’m just glad she didn’t wear those damn earrings in this photo shoot! And when is someone gonna ask the question we all wanna hear….when did she get her boob job? (And where, its a good job!)

I love it! Meagan reminds me so much of my cousin. She’s very pretty. That’s why I wish my cousin would find herself a man and stop messing with girls! But that’s her life and she can live it any way she wants. Very nice pics.

Pull up the photo
ZOOM in on the Picture (thus cutting out the images in the background).
or
Simply take another picture with a digital camera, then upload

@85…”Halle Berry she is not!” LOL! I’d say she and Halle are running neck and neck in the terrible actress race. The only difference between them is Halle has had far more exposure in the industry and made better career choices than Meagan. Halle seemed to have made the decision early on that the ‘pretty girlfriend’ roles weren’t going to do much for her career in the long run . If only Miss Goode had come to that realization about 5 years ago.
That is one of the ugliest dresses I’ve ever seen. She sucks though and she can decide whether or not to CHOOSE those roles so please Megan. Why is she even on someone’s cover? :0(

Beautiful pictures and concept. The coveer looks forced and her forehead and hair are photoshopped way too much, but she’s always been gorgeous.
Um #35 and #36, Beyonce is pretty, but no way is she prettier than Megan Good. MG has been pretty since Eve’s Bayou, without all the make-up and glitz. Bey is pretty but you can easily fin others who look like her and what makes her GEORGEOUS is how she’s made up. MG’s features on the other hand are what you call STRIKING. Not hating on Bey, but I just had to say it cause I hate when ppl put her in every damn post.

I agree every time I see her on the tv, I just get sick of seeing her, it’s not her acting it just whenever u see her you know what role she is playing it was sooo refreshing to see her on All Of Us playing a single mother, I thought FINALLY something new. She’s been in the industry a long time and time to grow up and move on to playing a FBI agent, a mother of 5, hell even Barney just not the same ol girlfriend roles.
I think it’s hard period for all Black actress to find plethoras of roles. So they often take what they can get or not work at all.

First time I’ve seen this girl look “grown.” I know good roles for black women in hollywood are pretty much non-existent, but I give her props for trying to break out. As an aside, that pouty mouth thing she does drives me beserk…she’s a cute girl, she shouldn’t try too hard.

I’ve been tired of seeing her play the same pretty girl role… Hopefully soon she’ll get a role that actually showcases some real talent. And as for #35… What makes you think Halle Berry and Beyonce are “drop dead gorgeous”… I mean yes that’s your opinion..but really… It’s called make up. They’re not as pretty as people make them out to be… Celebrity beauty is soooo overrated. They’re average looking women if you ask me…That’s just MY OPINION!
