Kanye had to do a little redeeming of himself because these past couple of remixes he’s gotten on (which not so randomly have also been songs that he wishes he’d made) have been really wack to me. Although, automatically, I’m not drawn into this song, I can see the appeal it could have to his fans. However, I don’t think that this is single material at all. It just doesn’t take me to a place that Kanye West’s other singles have – it honestly, dones’t even sound like one of his productions. The song really doesn’t do anything for me. Lyrically, it doesn’t really do anything for me, and as far as the production, it doesn’t really give me what I need. And what’s up with Jeezy in the background? We’ll see…

So, I love Amy Winehouse. And I’m a Jay-Z fan. So for me, this just feels right. Automatically, “Rehab” to me was an outstanding song – it was just something refreshing to me. Despite all of the Lauryn Hill vocal comparisons, I still think that Amy brought something different vocally to the table. I’ve always said on CL that a remix should improve upon the song, and I think that Jay-Z really does something with the track, even with all of his call-outs and retorts. I’m really pleased with Amy Winehouse’s project. I think that people will eat this up.

I think this song is good I think you just have to listen to it more than once to really get into it. Not a big fan of kanye cockiness and his stupid award show stunts but he is one of the best rappers out right now so I can’t hate on his hustle. Just calm that ish down West we know you good but that doesn’t mean you going to win all the time….

I’m in love with Amy’s CD, her voice is amazing to me. I am glad that Jay got on the remix even though it wasn’t necessary but hopefully it will garner her album some more attention. I don’t get the Lauren Hill comparisons at all as far as their style or even the sound of their voices, the only thing I see them having in common is that they are both two brilliant writers.
Its just so funny to me how people can sit on here and criticize her for being a drunk, and an achoholic when you probably support music that endoreses drunkiness, dance to and buy music by men with mysoginistic lyrics, oh and of course support the projects of pedophiles. I mean I don’t support the fact that she drinks or does drugs, or whatever but at least she is not making it seem like the cool thing to do. Someone mentioned the song “Me and Mr. Jones” that song is that deal her voice sounds so rich and thick. That song “Me & Mr Jones” isnt about Nas. Mr Jones is the man she is having an affair with. Like Me and Mrs Jones? Thats what the whole album is about, an affiar that didnt work out.
uhhh, the song is about Nas. Have you even listened to the lyrics of that song? Did you miss the part where she said “you made me miss that Slick Rick gig?” Basically its like shes saying that I won’t let anyone make me miss any Nas performance, like I chose you over a Slick Rick performance but it’s not gonna happen again when it comes to Nas. And then she even mentions Nas’ b-day in the song – “9 and 14.” And have you heard one of her songs “In my Bed?” She sampled Nas’ song “Made you Look.” Its kinda obvious that its about him. She has this real fascination over him. And she’s said many times in interviews that she was a huge fan of his.

how could you not like “rehab” with hova. its already a catchy song and adding jay on it made it even better. i dont know what ppl are talking about his voice not fitting the beat. if you’re thinking that maybe you should listen to it again. its a jazz/heavy beat and jay being our modern-day improvizing musician makes it perfect. the only song his voice doesnt fit are like chopped and screwed shit. amy is doin her thing, coming out with stuff that doesnt sound like anything out right now.
