I happen to like kelly’s material. it’s different, it’s elegant and it describes her personality. it’s not that “shake ya booty,” and “fuck me right” kinda music ppl are puttin out there nowadays…it’s neat. some ppl just cant appreciate what REAL music sounds like.

I happen to like Kelly for the simple fact that Beyonce always gets the attention and I’ve always felt like Kelly was just as talented and needed a fair amount of the attention as well BUT she hasn’t been coming strong and giving us what we want to hear. Like someone else mentioned the only hot songs that she did was with Nelly and Trina and they weren’t her songs she was featured on them. I’m still rootin’ for the underdog (Kelly) but I don’t know how long I’m gonna be able to stand the whack music she’s been coming forth with, I’m starting to lose hope in Kelly. When I heard Kelly’s song yesterday I thought it was weak. But listening to it today, I’m really feelin’ it. You have to get into the groove of it. Kelly sounds better on ballads for me, so its a bit of a shock to the ear when she’s on a beat like this. but it is quality. Listen again tomorrow and you’ll agree.

The Mya track … well … its a hot track, but the lyrics are horrible and her vocal style doesn’t really work. Someone could have sung it straight up and it would have been much better. Sorry babe, I luv ya, but its a downgrade.

Mya made a good move pushing her album back to rework some things. I think Kelly should push hers back too and work with some new people. I don’t know what the heck is going on but real R&B is suffering through a serious drought right now. I’m kinda feeling Mya’s song, but she’s got to come harder than this. It sounds too generic, it and sounds like something, we’ve all heard before. The same thing goes for Kelly. I think Kelly should come out with a strong ballad. I’m with whomever said she should come out with Every Thought Is U (Addicted). It’s a really nice song, and the hook sticks in your head.
