CANT LISTEN AT WORK.

I’m sorry. I’m just over Kelly. Everything I’ve heard of hers as a solo album has been weak. The best I’ve heard Ms Kelly on, is Bad Habit, her solo song on “Destiny Fulfilled”. That was one of the stand out tracks IMO on that album.

I loved Mya when she first came out with “It’s All About Me” feat Sisqp back in ‘98, but as of late I have not been feeling her like that. This track I’m listening to, I ain’t really feeling it either.
As far as Kelly I love “Like This” and the other song posted a few weeks ago “ComebacK” but not this track with Joey Crack.

Both of these tracks are weak.I didn’t expect nothing from mya because she say a whole lot of nothing and her voice is not that good she just pretty.And Kelly I hope she makes it solo career wise.

I think that this should have been the first single. Like this is a bit weak, but this song kind of reminds me a an Ameire type feel. Honestly, I am really for Kelly. I see where she was coming from as far as putting upbeat songs on her album, but her voice is suited more for ballads and midtempos. “Comeback” and “Like This” are songs that seem to be more filler than hits. If she really wants to sell, she needs to release “Still In Love With My Ex”, because its a song people can relate to and it has the potential to be the hit that she is looking for.

I happen to like Kelly for the simple fact that Beyonce always gets the attention and I’ve always felt like Kelly was just as talented and needed a fair amount of the attention as well BUT she hasn’t been coming strong and giving us what we want to hear. Like someone else mentioned the only hot songs that she did was with Nelly and Trina and they weren’t her songs she was featured on them. I like the beat to the Kelly joint. It sounds like “Flap your wings” by Nelly. I just don’t like Kelly’s voice over the track, it doesn’t flow well to me.

The Kelly song intro with Fat Joe need to be shortened. he was sounding like every other Fat Joe track and rap song he’s done. kelly’s Melody didn’t sound like anything original, like she tried, but I think she needs to really find herself as an artist. In my opinion, I don’t see successful solo artist in her presecense. She doesn’t exude enough confidence. Her sound is still Destiny Child sounding. If this album is released , she needs to take some time off afterwards to find herself as an artist. Song was Wack, I couldn’t even bare it all. One of those songs that the radio forces on you if the artist has enough chips. Not bashing her personally, just my opinion.

When I heard Kelly’s song yesterday I thought it was weak. But listening to it today, I’m really feelin’ it. You have to get into the groove of it. Kelly sounds better on ballads for me, so its a bit of a shock to the ear when she’s on a beat like this. but it is quality. Listen again tomorrow and you’ll agree.

The Mya track … well … its a hot track, but the lyrics are horrible and her vocal style doesn’t really work. Someone could have sung it straight up and it would have been much better. Sorry babe, I luv ya, but its a downgrade.

Mya made a good move pushing her album back to rework some things. I think Kelly should push hers back too and work with some new people. I don’t know what the heck is going on but real R&B is suffering through a serious drought right now. I’m kinda feeling Mya’s song, but she’s got to come harder than this. It sounds too generic, it and sounds like something, we’ve all heard before. The same thing goes for Kelly. I think Kelly should come out with a strong ballad. I’m with whomever said she should come out with Every Thought Is U (Addicted). It’s a really nice song, and the hook sticks in your head. But anyway, these ladies really need to step their game up have someone by their side who has a good ear. Because what they’re doing right now is not working at all.

Kelly Rowland needs to release “The Show” as the next single. It needs a video and she needs to learn how to be sexy without being corny. Shes too innocent. The album is called MS KELLY its suppose to be sassy like Monica’s Ms. Thang but instead shes talking about how blessed she is, crossing her hands looking like a debutante rather than a fiesty entertainer. She needs to give us some FIERCENESS because she is a boring performer thus far. What happened to all that energy from Destinys Child? She’s got a lil fiestyness in her music, but it fades away when she steps on stage.

Mya’s song “Riding” is amazing. She really has developed her voice into a womanly, complex force to be reckoned with. To hell with what you all say, she sounds good in Riding and it definately stands out. But its not a powerful enough song to carry the album as the second single. I dont know what that “Lock u Down” mess was. It sounded like a nickalodean song. With 2 weak singles one of which is irrelevant (lock u down) (according to billboard), how is she still releasing an album in dec? Anyone heard WALKA NOT A TALKA? Now that shoulda been the FIRST single. If it were released then she would not be in the state shes in now. She woulda been up on the VMA’s!!!
