Although it took a long time for Keyshia Cole to jump, it all seemed to take off when she released “(I Just Want It) To Be Over” as a single. It was strong and although previous songs and singles had done her justice, it showed the vocal ability and gusto that the label and fans initially saw from Keyshia. She took a break, had a reality show, was featured on the highly spun Diddy record “Last Night” (which, by the way, has 10,000 remixes…), is also featured on the new Jeezy single and now it’s the right time for Keyshia to come back with some fire. Her debut album, “The Way It Is” was critically acclaimed. But can she switch it up? She surely has. And with features from Lil’ Kim (who is about to be on everything) and Missy Elliott (who also produced the record), she will not go wrong. At first I was iffy when I saw the show title, and the features, but it’s really grown on me. Definitely what I like to see as a first single from Miss Cole.

She hooked me from the beginning bars. Lost me again when Missy hopped on. Got me back with her verses & bridges. The hook is okay. Catchy, so it works. Lil Kim works on the track. I like it.
All in all. I adore Ms. Keyshia. Her album was therapy at one time for me. I’ll be bumping this song in my car, no doubt. I can’t wait till hear what else she has to offer.

Keyshia Cole is bonafide. I saw her in concert in ATL with Fantasia and Kanye – and that girls voice is amazing. In Philip Arena you can’t disguise a messed up voice – that girl is bad. This song is def a first single hit. I love it! Go KeyKey!

Lovely vocals, mediocre production (SAMPLING HAS GOTTEN OUT OF CONTROL), really good rhyming. I think that it is a good song on a whole but I can’t imagine it as a debut single for her new Cd , I can see it as a single released to tease us until her new music comes out. Keyshia Cole is a great singer and with more tuning up on her craft I think she will shape up to being an excellent singer.

First, I love “Juicy Fruit” so you can’t go wrong sampling the song. Second, I really lik her voice. She’s one of teh few that can actually blow these days. Definitely feeling the song. Good job
I hope when people are referring to the “Juicy” sample…that they are referring to the original song by Mtume entitled “Juicy Fruit”. Juicy was the Biggie version which was sampled from Mtume’s track. Just a FYI.
A few hours later & I still like this track. Don’t love it (Missy killed it, not in a good way). But I can still dig it. It’s more of a subdued Keyshia. Not all the yelling & oversinging.

I am not a Keyshia fan but I like this joint! It seems like she is sounding better and better with time. Now can someone please tell me WTF Missy wanted on this track? IMO, she was messing the song up with her “rhyming skills”.
